[Help] How to download files from Google Drive - Compressing Sucks

Hello IMers,

Need some help from you guys.

I have stored a lot of files (400GB+) on google drive that I want to download but everytime I try to do so, google drive starts compressing the folders which eventually terminates the entire process.

Also, Google drive makes small piecemeals of the folder if the size exceeds 2GB

One way is to go to each and every ~2GB folder and compress and download it and then do the opposite once downloaded but this is so frustrating.

Any easier way to accomplish this task guys?

How close are you to maxing out your storage on Google Drive?

Use sync
Create an empty folder and install google drive on your Windows 10 or Linux then google drive will try to sync from empty folder meanwhile you can copy and paste files from drive to pc.

"back and sync" program from google is your answer. that is the only way to download that much data from google drive

how much GB were you offered? is it lifetime?

In EDU account there's no limit.

i just signed up using my edu account, and it gave me 15GB.... wtf!

mine is a very real edu account

when did you sign up? did you sign up through drive.google.com or another method?

Unlimited and yes it is lifetime

Your EDU organization needs to authorize your account for unlimited google drive.
You can just signup with edu and get the storage.
You can either buy EDU account or contact your organization/college to link your account to for storage.

Some get storage in Gmail, some get 1TB storage in one drive, some get both, and finally, yes, some get nothing, lol.
You need to check which category your edu belongs to

You can buy it from the marketplace on BHW or plainly search BHW for threads like this to create one for free.
