Hey guys, I'm new here.
Excuse my poor English as it's not my first language
Yesterday I was looking into a new business idea I'm refining and I stumbled onto a competitor website.
The website is generating traffic from google search in a strange way. let me explain...
You search for a specific product that they offer...
In the search results, you find a website that is completely unrelated and in another field that is linking to this product (on google).
When you click on the link in google, it immediately forwards you to another site which actually offers the products you're looking for and is in the correct niece.
The site you see in google and the one you end up on are completely different.
The site you don't see belongs to a small local business running wordpress, it seems they are compromised somehow because I can't explain it in another way.
Do any of you know what this is called? How is it possible to take advantage of this traffic-generating strategy?
