Hello

I was wondering has anyone tried running Facebook ads to their Etsy listing?

If so, how did it go?

Since i can't put a pixel on my Etsy store, i was thinking of running a simple link click ad and directly linking to my Etsy listing.

Since people trust the Etsy platform more than a random Shopify store, then maybe they are more likely to purchase

I will try running an experiment myself but i wanted to see if anyone has tried it before :)

Hello i can heip you

It will not be effective because customer behavior on two different platforms varies; on Etsy, customers are actively searching, while on Facebook, customers accidentally see the ads.
I realize that if I run ads on Facebook to drive traffic to Etsy, I will spend a lot of money and reach the wrong customers.

Yes, you can run Facebook ads directly to Etsy listings, but without a pixel you won’t get full conversion tracking.
The main goal is to drive quality traffic, so strong targeting and ad creatives matter most.
Some sellers see results since Etsy is trusted, but it often works better if you send traffic to an email opt-in or landing page first, then guide them to Etsy.
I can share strategies to help make your test more effective if you’d like.

- Target warm audiences first – Upload your past customer list (if you have one) or use lookalike audiences based on your shop’s email list. These convert much better than cold traffic.

- Use interest-based targeting – Go beyond broad categories and target interests directly tied to your niche (ex: “wedding planning,” “home décor lovers,” “digital scrapbooking”).

- Focus on creatives, not just targeting – Lifestyle photos or short videos showing your product in use get far better clicks than plain product images. Add text overlay that highlights the unique value.

- Test low budgets – Start with $5–$10/day to validate audiences before scaling. Since Etsy doesn’t allow pixel tracking, optimize for link clicks but watch your Etsy shop analytics for actual sales.

- Leverage Pinterest + Instagram synergy – Run Facebook/IG ads alongside organic Pinterest pins pointing to the same Etsy listing. This creates multiple touchpoints and boosts trust.

- Optional funnel approach – If you want more control, send traffic to a simple landing page (collect email or offer a freebie), then link to Etsy. This way you can retarget and build an owned audience.

These approaches help maximize the value of your ad spend while working within Etsy’s tracking limits.
