[Help] Authority Site Keyword Research - Market Samurai ... !

Okay, I decided to go the Niche Authority Way... And faced something I want your opinion about...

- Using B2B Way for keyword research which I like a lot

But I decided to use Market Samurai...

- I did a research for a particular keyword Let's say " Chicken Recipes" as example, it was like 600 keyword results ..
- When I applied " Golden Rule" , it left men 121 active keywords..
- After removing the Duplicates and similar meaning keywords I would be left with like 60 - 80 keywords
- So, you have 60 keywords you can easily rank on with slight effort of backlinks

But, Doesn't it destroy the whole meaning of Authority Site.... !!!

I mean what is the approach here... Covering keywords that you can rank on.. Or covering all keywords without caring about competition and filters ?!!

I even decided to take the whole set of 600 keywords and while I was cleaning it.. I discovered I was just doing what filters would do but manually ... !!

Another Question.. Authority means covering all keyword that contains the main keyword on it like
- best chicken recipes
- chicken recipes tips
- how to get the best of chicken recipes

Or is it about covering or related keywords as well.. like
- How to choose good chicken to cook
- other things to add while cooking

In second example I'm now going after keywords other than : Chicken Recipes ....

Finally : I'm aiming at creating good sites with great content that will last long ... Sites that google Love

No it does not mean that. Actually Market Samurai and other keyword tools tell you NOTHING about how hard it is to rank for these keywords. You have to take a thorough look at the Top 10 domains ranking for each keyword manually with the help of Majestic, SEMrush, etc.

2nd question:
Better to cover everything chicken related first, then if you have money and energy you can venture into other topics with the same site. But the order should be micro first, broad later.

Really thanks for the reply. For a while I thought I'm the only one in this forum

I did research on the Backlinks, Competition ( I prefer Ahrefs & Spyglasses ) And market samurai depends completely on Majestic Seo on it's search btw. Filtering the competition gives your really good keywords to target.

I was just wondering is this the route people follow for authority sites. Writing content about keywords they can rank on.
So, Authority Site = 100 Micro Site

Or going after everything not even looking at competition as they will get traffic from LSI keywords anyway ). So it's not about the main keyword of the article, It's about low hanging long tail keywords you will gain from being authority

For second question : I think I got your answer here... seems good. I just wanted to make a whole set of keywords I need to cover before beginning. But I will finish the 70 closely related terms and then see how it goes. If it's promising will go broad.. if not I will dig in another niche

- Then you can Broad after that

I suggest writing articles on each of those keywords with the title as the keyword. This is best for easy ranking in Google.com they love keyword rich content that is good for search engine and visitors. Write an article for all the keywords that you have and you will get good traffic. Check the list exact match traffic and see if you are going to be getting good traffic.

I totally agree. I was just wondering what kind of 3000 pages website that people of authority sites talking about. I mean yes it would be for a whole niche. But noway for a niche keyword. I mean even if you are going to close related keywords for "Health" your won't find 3000 keywords that include health in them. You will have to go Broad. So this is my test now. Google consider authority on the scale of the niche related terms or broad keywords terms.

Gonna do. I guess I find a nice method for creating articles according to keywords and making sure I can rank on them. However keywords only titles looks suspicious and google hate it ( nowdays ). Now google like Big Fatty titles with the keyword on it. And what is better people gets attracted to this kind of titles also.
- So, for " best chicken recipe " keyword. A title would be something like :-

-----> Secret ingredients in your chicken recipe for best result

Anyway after a lot of research and keyword comparing and seeing what kind sites in the first page now. I'm pretty sure there is a big update coming in the way. No-way these kind of sites stay in first page. Google damaged both spam and good site with penguin and panda. Now all first pages filled with sites from 6 - 14 years ago. And most of them are formal government or edu sites. These sites can't give the information searchers seek.

Don't know what this has to do with the topic but was just thinking loud.
