Im going to start from the top. a guy from a forum asked me if I wanted to make money, and I just needed to have a verified paypal. Well in luck for me I did have one. We chatted, he was very anonymous about him self I must say. But He then told me to make money he needs to send me funds because he gets an error while trying to send them? Well then he sent me the funds I kept 10% what he told me, and then I had to send the funds to someone else. We did this for some time I made 400$ and bought some stuff.. Then all the people I had sent money to had charged back? Im now -800$ in paypal.. Im not sure what to do. It has my real name + address on it. No phone number but a random (fake ssn) . What will happen to me? Im only 15 years old and cant afford to pay back 800$
Thanks everyone

NONONONO!!! IM so dumb, I need to exit this world now...

It's only money... just work through the process... you got scammed by doing something that you did not think through.

Get it fixed and you'll be fine.. it will just take some time.

Btw, this has been taking place since Feb 15. Its been 5 months now, and I think Ive gotten 3 phone calls.... Am I f*cked?

What do you mean? I see people on here that owe 1k and nothing happen to them? My case much different?

Your best bet is to own up and figure out how to pay it. You got scammed -- It happens.

You need to be more careful and think things through next time...

People only ever owe that much and get away with it when they used completely fake information and the person they owe isn't a multi-billion dollar company.

And yeah you're really going to have to talk to your parents about this.

If you are in the USA nothing will happen to you legally as PP can not, by law, enter into a contract with you as you are a minor... or at least that is how I understand the law.

Nobody is going to come after you or anything like that so that is not a worry.

As to your parents... I have no idea.

If it were me I would figure a way to make 8 bills and pay it off.

Unfortunately you have fallen for a common scam.

I feel for you, it's not nice to be scammed.

I know this is easy for me to say, but it is not the end of the world. The best thing to do is tell your parents and let them help you. They may be angry at first but they will help you sort it out.

Take it on the chin and put it down to experience. It is an $800 lesson in how to not be scammed. It's an expensive lesson, but it is also a valuable one.

And honestly, learning that sort of lesson so young will come in useful for the rest of your life, I promise.

Okay guys, I feel a bit better now.. But I still dont understand why they havent even done anything for 5 months? Feb 15th is when the claim started

Disputes can take a long time...

Just because something hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean you have gotten away with it. Either way, the right thing to do is pay it back.

You can always share your side of the story with PP. It may not do anything for you, but it is worth a try...

Definitely.

Your future will be much more guarded and decisions will be made with much more wisdom.
Just remember, don't go down this path yourself thinking it's easy money.
Scammers are the scum of the earth, earn your money legitimately.

Good luck! In any case, the world will continue to spin and you will be fine. :)

I think I do not understand this right .... someone sent money to you, and you send it to other people, and then they charged back?
You cannot chargeback if you RECEIVE money, only when you SEND money. So if you sent money, YOU could chargeback but never the receiver. I think I misunderstood this

hahaha paypal? they will come for you ass drag you out Yap the girl next door will be watching and video tapping the whole shit and post it on you school website callng you scamer looool......just messing with you its all good ppl laws doesnt affect you as your a minor but be very carefull

If a stranger approaches you and asks if you want to make money, it most likely is a scam especially if they want to run it through your account.
