Help a noob out here guys, Dropshipping / Niche

I'm looking to getting into drop shipping or into the niche bussines, i have been trying to set up several sites but i get to many errors and problems wich kills too much time, i tried dropshipping on ebay but they held my money for 21 days of each product i sold.

I really want to setup a good niche site, but i really need some help on the start as i really want to make it right thiss time, i dont want to make a crappy niche like the ones people sell on ebay.


Just looking for some advice and what steps you need to take to get started really.

F Drop shipping I could give you a 30 page article on why you shouldn't touch it. I'm talking about joining drop shipping companies its just a waste competition is high and you have people cutting each others throats to earn a few pennies. This is from experience working with drop shipping at the end of the day the company makes the most cash for you selling there crap products that not many people want to get hold of. I have had private accounts with large companies selling there stock through a drop shipping basis. To then find out I could buy the stock store it and ship it and still make more cash. Of course there is more work involved but if its all about the cash then there is a much better way to sell stuff.

Also don't think about it if your not going to host your own site. Don't use amazon or google because after fees you will make jack all on drop shipping items. Look ill give you tip:

Head over to sites that sell goods worldwide think china wholesale find a product you think will sell well. Now inflate the price 10/20% now if that price looks "reasonable" then sell the product. Its known as a finders fee. You do the same thing you would when dealing with a drop shipping company. Your customer is buying from you because your ranked on google not everyone uses amazon or eBay. This works a lot better if you pay for ad space on sites related to your niche.

Just think outside the box oh and don't pay to join a drop shipping company.

thank you for the reply, and i know exackly what your talking about, and i actually would never pay any dropshipping company i simply use sites like CB or DX, chinabuye and dealextreme, i can dropship for free from them however the downside is that the shipping takes waay to much time, so i have always been a little to carefull going in to deep with dropshipping, the niche bussines is better in the terms that i can work hard now and set it on autopilot when the niche is fully established but i really need help to start.

That is one of the main problems when it comes to selling worldwide full stop is shipping time. Try to go with "custom" or made to look custom items. So that customers really don't mind waiting 4 weeks to receive the product. You could always try to find products in your country that you can purchase online and ship through them. There are tons of small businesses online now selling tons of different items. Like for example lets go with something different "customized cheese boards". Now they may not be easy to find for some people they might be looking for a unique spin on it. So you go out find the supplier and advertise there produce of course increase the markup price and profit from that. This is sales 101 if your not willing to do the leg work to find the best deals your never going to make cash.

As for autopilot you would need to create a bot for that and make sure it does exactly as intended no mistakes! I know some people that run automation software for price changes and they get a list sent to them of all purchases for that day so they can check it over first before sending it to other sites for submission, you would be surprised as to how many people make mistakes with there contact details and address information. There is probably software available but I prefer to manually do it at the moment. Automation would work best if you was using one site to buy all your products from. But you would need it to crawl quite frequently to make sure you had stock in... that's a whole other discussion though. Move onto automation when your making a few $1000 a day. Or when it becomes a pain in the rear to do it on your own of course.
