Hello World - Help a noob

Hello,


I am new to this site. I've been using Fiverr, SEO clerks and even worked with a firm (Orange Soda) before on some sites. We have a new site that I have been tasked with getting some SEO for. I'm a little leery of some of the services I have purchased from SEO clerks (I actually saw some sites I worked on get hammered by Penguin last year) and after reading these forums, this seems like a good place to get some decent service for my new start-up video game review/news site. We have good writers, and about 60 original articles right now. I just need to get more exposure for the site and eventually I'd like to get connected in with google news so our stories might get picked up on there as well. The big problem I see is that there are about 12-20 dominant videogame news sites, but we are focusing on a niche product within video gaming.


If there is anyone that can help me get started or point me in the direction of a good deal, it would be greatly appreciated. I do have a budget to work with. If I see results then I will buy more of the services in the future. Ideally I want to grow my readers for my site. Traffic bots and such probably aren't something that will work for me.

Thank you! Hoping someone can point me in the direction of some good packages to purchase or recommend a seller they have had success with. My site is based on videogames, so it should be a fun project for someone to work on as well.
