Hello everyone here at https://www.blackhatworld.com/!!!

I'm newly registered, and interested to dive into what these forums have to offer. A little about myself: I'm a Software Engineer & Web Developer located in rural Southeast Alaska. I've been doing remote contract work for 10+ years as well as developing my own projects. I stumbled upon this place through a search, and started peeking around the forums. Seems like an interesting place to be sure. I hope I can become an active and engaging member!

Hiiiiiii,
I always wanted to live my life in Alaska. I am obsessed with the beauty of your country. Surviving in the wilderness is awesome. Greetings from Asia.

Good luck and Welcome buddy

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thank you for the greetings! And, thanks for admiring Alaska, I'm sure you would greatly enjoy exploring the land.

welcome to bhw im new here as well

Right on, thanks for the welcoming. Hope to see you around out there too!

Sure. I will visit your country before I die.

Welcome! How is the internet connection there?
Oh my God, you have no idea... It's pretty shitty, but also notably overpriced! The biggest issue, honestly, is the lack of options. There are LITERALLY only two options for an ISP, and one of them is from the local utility company which is run by the city. The best option you can get comes from the other choice, GCI an Alaskan Communications Company, as part of a Cable TV, Landline Telephone, and Internet bundle. It's the only one that comes with unlimited monthly bandwidth... You pay $200 for what is advertised as 1Gbps, but ends up averaging about 10Mbps, and since there is no competition there is no point in complaining.

I always complain about my network but you are definitely in the worst situation

Welcome to BHW! You seem to have an interesting profile.

I have wanted to visit Alaska ever since the CEO of my company used to do a regular annual Alaska Cruise - lucky him. I hope I make it there for a visit one day.

Hi! Your experience sounds interesting and extensive enough. I think you'll find what you were looking for in the forum. And I hope that we can help you find new information and develop some new skills. If you have any questions or just want to talk, you can always post on the forum.

Hello and welcome to bhw

I wish you a warm welcome and a bright future on BHW it is the right place.

Last time i left Alaska, i smelt like fish for 3 months as i was working 18 hours per day cleaning fish.

I learnt a lesson, money is worse than smell of fish.

Alaska is beautiful and i plan to visit Alaska but as a tourist.

Welcome Anirath, hope you enjoy all the content and banter here
