Hello guys,

I'm Young Learner, literally, I'm 17 and I'm here to read, learn, buy, post, basically everything.
That said I would like to say something about myself, I don't consider myself a complete moron since I have seen people posting stuff I could figure out myself.
I hate these kind of introductions so I have a cute little guide under about losing weight, hope you enjoy.

Guide-ish thing on losing weight:
Basically I just have a couple of tips to passively lose weight on long term.
So, starting off at the start.

-If you drink soda, never drink diet, NEVER (reason later)

-If you like food, keep eating food, alot is not bad, just make sure that the first 5-10 minutes after diner you walk a bit, this will start a digestion process which will keep going for about 1 hour and get rid of pretty much of the food you just ate.

-Try to eat breakfast xD sounds weird, but really. it's of such importance that you can't miss it.
fact: did you know that if you eat in the evening it's a couple times harder for your body to digest the food(about 5times, can be different)

>>So, the big reason I don't want you guys to drink diet soda is because it almost always contains Aspartame, if it doesn't it has ascesfame-K in it, which are NOT natural sugars, but synthetically created and are about 200 times sweeter than normal sugar.
This on it's own ain't a big problem, the biggest problem is that your body has a hard time working with it, since it can't get any energy from it since it's not a real sugar. So your brain thinks, Hey, I don't get any energy from this "sugar" so changes the amount of energy sugar should give you to the amount aspartame gives you. Even ants have proven this, when ants were given the option to either choose sugar or aspartame. The resuly, they would let the aspartame be there, some ants tasted it to check if it was sugar, they died and the rest started taking the sugar home.

-Knowing this you guys probably wonder why it says LonG TerM. Well the reason for this is that once you stop drinking diet soda you should gain some weight since your brain is still tricked and has to switch to thinking that sugar DOES give energy.
After this is completed you will notice you stop gaining weight, this will continue for maybe 2 weeks. If these fake sugars were used everywhere in food they could make it possible for you to lose weight there is alot of sugar in food. After that only drink normal soda, taking diet will mess up everything again.

I hope you guys take what it takes to try this if you think you could lose some pounds.

bhw forum- (me)-(17)-(lose weight)-(avoid soda)-(eat)-(walk)

Even if you would have not told ur age, we would have guessed it right.. Anyways, welcome and learn..........good luck.....

Thanks super, and this is what my mom told me throughout my life(she's a dietologist)

I'm lazy to look it up, so you need to be my search engine, is the evening eating thing a result of like some circadian rhythm or just an average of statistics due to the fact that most people become more inactive towards the later hours. I bet the sun does speed up metabolism tho, just unsure of how much it matters in the night eating case.

sidenote: rhythm is such a stupid looking word.

ok, you added some useful stuff by editing the post. Initially, it just felt that you assumed that we were all 500 pound people who knew nothing abt weight loss. But, the added information makes sense now. Thks and add some pointers.

eating late is to be avoided because of what has yet to be digested/metabolized during the night when the process slows as you are sleeping.

I have the ultimate secret to weight loss and because I like you guys, I am going to share it here.

Burn more calories than you take in.

That's it!

You're welcome.

A bit of both, since you do become inactiver in the later hours. The early humans used to hunt in early morning and eat in the morning meaning that somehow a human is still better of eating in the morning(I am aware of the evolutions changes) plus the sun does actually affect your metabolism since it gives energy, which your body then uses in many ways.

I've quite a good info about this case, calories, exercises, weighing, eating by hours etc etc but these words sum up everything : eat less, exercise more.

No need to count anything, just don't eat dough, fried and meat, exercise once a day, evening is better, don't eat after 7 PM and you'll be alright.

When I needed, I used to lose 1kg daily, but I broke after a week or so, don't overdo things, unless you want to turn into a skinny fat.

HMm nice advice however i don't agree with this breakfast part!
Ever since i started following I.F, i stopped eating breakfast and i lost even more weight than when i was eating breakfast but cutting carbs, however alongside gym and a proper food diet i gained a lot of muscle

I read your guide and have been doing it for the last 25 mins, i still have not lost weight

:cussing:

Eat less, exercise more..... simple.

I have arthritis and I've done a lot of studying and research into food and its effects on people with my condition. I've had spells of being crippled and bed ridden with PA (psoriatic arthritis) many times. Steroids are the only thing that work for me and allow me to live a normalish life. But you can gain weight with steroids and the long term side effects are not good. I can't take biologics that work well for some people either.

Anyway, I've ended up removing gluten, dairy, sugar (which is actually a poison), red meat, certain vegetables and beer (that one is a killer). You might think it doesn't leave me much to eat but I love fish and chicken, curries, Asian foods etc which are good for me to eat. I've been amazed at how much good, proper food there is to eat if you take the time to look.

Since doing this for the past 3 months I've lost a lot of weight despite eating three meals a day, exercise is as usual. I've lost weight without meaning to. But the biggest change is that I've been off steroids for a month or so for the first time in 4 years. Sure I ache in the morning but it's manageable now and I keep on improving.

All this due to DIET changes!

You are what you eat.

I need to monetize this some way :D

In the end its all about how much you eat. Exercise burns calories, but not much, compared to the difference your diet makes.
