Just wondering if you guys can share some tips with regards to actually building a relationship with social media and building real credibility.

At the end of the day, it costs more to get a new customer than to keep an existing one and their happiness <=> your success.

Thoughts?

Most companies on FB or Twitter are just one way broadcasting, they churn out automated links to their own site and/or products and thats it. If you look closer many of them dont have even one reply, never a RT or even a response. There is zero interaction. The truth is getting real credibility on social media takes time and effort.

Too many times i have seen companies trying to quickly get thousands of fans/followers (most of them are fake, or dont care about your site in the first place) so couple that with the one way broadcasting you have a recipe of failure.

So my tip for getting "real credibility" is either take an hour a day aside for social media and actually listen to what people have to say, actually follow people that are relevant to your niche/business or higher someone who does that for you, or just leave it all together and try to spend that time on other things...

regards
