i've been doing some content writing for clients with aff sites for long course of time. Now i 'm thinking if i could get started on blogging. How should i start and how often do you think i'll need to publish blog posts. Having tech niche for startup in mind, any suggestions would be helpful

You start with setting up a blog, quite easy. Get a host and domainname and install Wordpress.

After that just start writing. If you publish once a week it's fine, twice a week is fine too. Want even more? That's also fine but keep it consistent.
Better one article per week than 7 in the first two weeks and after that just whenever you wants or think about it.

Make a content schedule for yourself so you know when you have to write what and so you can think about interlinking between pages and how to monetize those.

You can also schedule posts in WordPress, so write a bunch and schedule them, saves time

Thread moved.

Are you planning on blogging to get better/more clients?

Any amount of frequency is fine so long as you're consistent. At least once a week is good, but even if you don' do it as often it's fine-- just get people notified somehow like a newsletter. If you're producing good and content of value to your readers, they'll be looking forward to it.

I started many times but failed , its saturated as hell

It is a good start! Blogging is one of the best productive way to spend quality time. Tech Niche is great way to start! Also try Business, Health..
Focus more on writing good quality contents. Google loves it! Also remember to do keyword research to get better results.
All the best!

You choose the right niche/topics for yourself? Because actually nothing is really saturated: If you experience it like that you don't have (enough) value to offer.

This is the type of question that doesn’t have a one size fits all answer.

Some people get away with blogging every now and then like waitbutwhy.com while other people blog dozens of times a day like TechCrunch.

The most important things are to blog on a regular schedule and to promote each post as much as possible.

I’d also suggest guest blogging in the beginning to get your name out there and build a few high quality backlinks.

There’s nothing more annoying than a great site with zero visitors.

To me, tech niche is too saturated.

What's your budget on promotion?

Honestly, I would blog in other niche I am passionate about, yet cost effective.

You may want to look at a sub-niche in tech and outsmart the game.

I would recommend writing at least 60 articles before even starting your site. Publish 30 of them when you start your site and then post one of the remaining articles each day. This way you have a strong base.

I have been blogging for last 6 months. I would say It's too tough to maintain a blog. I invested around $35 initially. Since then I haven't spent a penny for my blog. Got my adsense approved two months back. Also, I have earned $3 (it's too low, i know).
I wish to recover at least rest $32 in the next 6 months. It's amazing journey.

Answer : Yes!

Simple Tip for you to start Blogging: Get List of guest blogs & start your own by just contacting blogger to publish articles you wrote..

FYI, am talking about guest blogging.

Writing articles before starting blog is really a good way to start. But make sure it is well written and also it meets all of Google guidelines...

You must write blogs on something of your interest to succeed. This may take take to survey and write best suited content but once you recognise the right field then you will get great results.

As for blogging, I've seen it does not depend on the frequency but more on the usability. I'm not saying one post a year, but posting once a week will be fine to get started with but the content has to be highly useful to your readers and must initiate them to take action.

I noticed that its not the quantaty of posts, it is more the quality. If you post good quality content once a week, I am sure that is fine by your readers.
