Hey, I noticed that when I’m logged into my Google Search Console in Chrome, my articles rank pretty high, but if I open an incognito window, it’s a totally different story.
Do you guys use VPNs or proxies to check local SEO results, or do you have an easier way to see how your content performs in other regions?

Its common thing, tons of tools in the market, they will track your keyword ranking in different regions.

It's been like this for over 10 years if I remember correctly. Google personalises search results when you're logged in. Not only that, it also uses your IP address to show search results.
Think of it this way, go to YT incognito, you'll see no suggestions but when you log in, it will show you suggestions based on what you watched before. So the same logic applies to the search results.

Search results are different by place and device, so incognito is not always reliable.

Using keyword tracking tools provides more accurate website ranking positions than Google Search Console, because Google Search Console does not report rankings in real time.

That' completely normal because when you're logged into Google, search results are personalized based on your account, location and past behavior, which can make your pages appear higher. Incognito mode removes most of that personalization, so it shows a more realistic view of rankings. To check performance in other regions, many SEO's use VPN's or SERP tools with location targeting, but the easiest and most accurate method is still Google Search Console, especially the country and query data in the Performance report.

Search results vary by region because Google localizes rankings based on location, language, and local user intent...............

incognito isn't enough to check clean serps lol . google still tracks ur device fingerprint and ip range
if u want to see exactly what a user in a specific city sees without paying for a rank tracker or messing with vpns , use the &uule= parameter
its a base64 encoded string that tells google "pretend i am in [city, country]" . u can generate it for any zip code . append it to the search url and u bypass all the local personalization noise instantly . way faster than toggling proxies for spot checks

Results vary by location and personalization

You can use neutral rank trackers or VPNs, logged-in searches are misleading.

Different regions have different taste of different trends

That’s normal — logged-in searches are personalized, incognito is closer to reality.
Don’t rely on VPNs/proxies; they’re inconsistent.
Use Google Search Console for real performance by country, and a rank tracker with geo settings for local checks.
Those two give the cleanest picture without the noise.
