POST EDITED. FREE DOMAIN NOT INCLUDED ANYMORE.:sorry:

My contribution. I hope you have got $1 in your paypal account.
Netfirms gives u 250GB hosting with 2.5TB bandwidth for $1. FREE DOMAIN NOT INCLUDED ANYMORE.
Now i will see some guys shouting:

-netfirms bad
-netfirms sucks
-netfirms very bad

Never believe. I have got more than 10 accounts there having hundreds of domain. I may simply say netfirms is 10 times better than godaddy. Here is the promo link:

Code:
http://www2.netfirms.com/netfirms/special-offer.bml?page=dp-up-usd
  • While creating an account, first select that u will transfer a domain.
  • Then use that promo link above.
  • Get your free hosting.
  • That is it.
What else? OK I will tell it.

If you have $100, create 100 fake accounts till dec6. You can use the same paypal for those fake accounts. No problem. I always do that.

And you will get what?
- 100 Adwords coupon of $75
- 100 facebook coupon of $50
- 100 yahoo/bing sponsored search credits of $25
- 100 Free Online Advertising with YP.com!
- 100 Free! Local or Toll-free number for your business (As an Netfirms customer, you're eligible to take advantage of a 100 minutes per month of Nextiva's toll-free number and virtual receptionist service)

Now I am sure you can sell those adwords, yahoo and facebook credits and can make a decent amount of money.

Moreover, you will have lots of hosting accounts for just $1 each along with a very good/fast shared hosting. You can sell them too to your clients or you can use them to make Micro Niche sites or bigger ones.

U want more? No not now.

Of course you will need a good tool/software to power up your blogs. Go and buy sicksubmitter without thinking twice. For $20/month, it is a superb deal and I claim that it is #1 when it comes to getting backlinks.

And did u make use of this post? Did u save some money? OK then buy sick submitter with my aff link.:)

Have fun and a very good Sunday.

Sheila Kim: Hi. How can I help you today?
Alex: hi Sheila, I just registered for an account... I would like to claim the domain that comes with it
Sheila Kim: Okay.
Sheila Kim: We do not offer any domain for free in the hosting plan of $1.
Alex: oh... damn

So I am guessing you just go buy a domain and point it to this host....am I wrong?

I have never tried to sell vouchers is there any problem with doing so? Any chance they wont get honored for some reason? Just making sure, even at such a low price I dont really have need for another domain and host as I am piled up with work as is but if I know for sure I can transfer the vouchers, I dont mind spending >$10 and trying to pimp the vouchers for 50% off to clients.

I was unable to get the domain. Let me tell you what I had to do. I had to pretend like I wanted to change registrars so that I could first get an account there. Now, once you have an account with them as your registrar you go to that link and you can sign up for a year of hosting for a dollar. You do not have to actually initially transfer your domain or anything like that, you just fill everything out as if you were going to. Then they send you your login information and the deal is sealed. You use the link and you get a year of mediocre hosting for a dollar along with the coupons but no domain.

I'm not convinced, they must be overloading their servers, you can't possibly get 250 GB disc space and 2.5 TB bandwidth for a mere dollar, impossible, I would rather pay $1 per month than for a whole year at another host, also they have a custom control panel which you must learn how to use, it's not a matter of money but you'll have headaches which will probably cost you more than the dollar (medicine, time etc). I don't have an experience with them but from the theory and by thinking about it for a second, you'll realize that there is something to it.

as u said u know nothing but speak. I did not create this thread to give headaches to people. I have got more than 10 accounts there and i am happy.

And I have got lots of accounts on other firms too. Yes their control panel is not cpanel but i claim that easier than it.

So u thought one sec and u decided something hidden there. OMG. you are super. So you never believe in deals. So you never buy $1 domains from godaddy. Because u think that how they can sell $12 domains to people for $1.

OK go on this way. I am sure you never use any coupons or discounts too:)

How do I signup without applying for hosting? When I sign up they make you buy a plan.

Edit: nvm I missed the part where you mention to "request a domain transfer". Thanks a lot for the info.

Do you mind telling me how to sign up?
Every time I try to click "Sign up" it brings me to the page where it has the 4.95/month and all the plans.

How to sign up dude, I didn't get the OP's instructions..

At the bottom of the page where it has 4.95/month and all the plans there is a link "transfer your website to Netfirms" click that and you can sign-up for a for a free account.

Thanks, and then do I actually transfer a domain or click "Register a new domain name instead."?
If I click the latter, it brings me to a NetFirms page that advertises $7.99/year domains. What do I do from there?

Domain transfer is required to get that coupons?
Do you get them after reg confrim?

No domain register is just a quick way of getting a account with them. You don't even have to complete the transfer process. Once you have an account you will be able to use the link above take advantage of the promotion.

You paying with paypal right?

Dont they found out that you have 100 accounts with same paypal account?

No, I use godaddy deals and such but when it comes to webhosting, I know how it works, I used to run webhosting services. Netfirms can't really profit from the single dollar for a year so they are going to overload their servers, that's my theory, I haven't tested them yet, perhaps you got a small blog that just runs fine. I have seen this deal before, I was recommended to sign up but I won't, simply because of what I mentioned above and because I have several websites to put up so I will end up paying for a normal priced service.
