Earlier today the tiktok app froze and had an error message saying there was no internet connection even though there was. It is now working again but views are only about 50-60 on each video and likes are extremely low. I don’t get a massive amount of likes but they usually come in steadily all day. Does this sound like a shadowban or something else?

If you are getting 60 views and 2 likes, then your content sucks mate
The internet connection error is quite common, it happened with me sometimes as well, not related, I guess

Thanks for reply. My content is pretty niche so was never expecting a massive amount of views and likes on any day but don’t know why it is so low today.
 
hard to say with a sinle video that performed bad for just one day, continue uploading and if after a week or 4 days you still seing the same behavior I would say a posible shadow ban but also depend on what are you uploading or maybe people did not liked too much that video you uploaded.

My content is not bad! !!! It just had poor views yesterday and I am new to tiktok. Must have been platform error like you say. Is back to normal today. Thanks to all who replied.

This isn't shadowbanning. Your account might have one or two videos that flop. That's a normal occurrence for new accounts.

how many views did your previous videos have? it doesn't sound like a shadowban

First video has 15k second is 8K. Everything seems ok today so must have been a glitch.

try reposting your video. I saw quite a few people in the community having trouble accessing the internet over the past day and the system has fixed this.

now tiktok has fixed this error, don't worry wait 1-2 days it will be fine
 
No bro, it might be a platform error. You should contact the support team of the tiktok platform so they can help you. If it's shadowban, it should be 0 views.
 
check your analytics on the video maybe its restricted for FYP, sometimes they still get 50-60 views until that happens

Shadowban means your videos have no viewers. If your videos still have 50-60 views, it could be because of the content.
 
It might not be a shadowban, TikTok’s algorithm can be unpredictable. Sometimes views drop due to poor engagement early on, or the content might not be hitting the For You Page. To check, try posting a fresh video with trending audio and hashtags. If that also tanks, it could be a temporary algorithm issue or, worst case, a shadowban. Give it a few days and monitor closely
