Have Facebook ads become more expensive recently?

for the crypto products, my campaign costs $35 -$40 per result. I make a profit at this CPM rate. what is your products?

Not really... becuase it depends on lot of factors
geo, niche, no of competitors
and above all optimization of the ad campaigns

as far as i am running ads my cost has only came down over time and not increased.

Hi,
I am new to Facebook ads and want to know that have Facebook ads become expensive recently? If Yes, then what should be the budget for Facebook ads campaign?
yes, CPMs have risen due to increased advertiser competition and meta's AI algorithm updates. for testing a new offer, starting with $10–$20/day per ad set is ideal to gather data and test creatives, then scale budgets once you identify winning ads and maintain profitable CPA/ROAS

First, experiment with a small budget of $10–$30, and only increase the budget once you find an effective campaign.

Due to the high level of competition, Facebook advertising costs are currently very expensive. You should prepare a strong financial foundation and be persistent.

Yes. Facebook Ads have tended to become more expensive recently, though costs vary depending on the industry and your objectives.
If you are just starting out, you can try a small budget.
Don't ramp up your budget aggressively right from the start; test first, then scale.
The most important factor isn't the total amount spent on ads, but rather the cost you incur for each order or customer.

Everyone's throwing numbers at you with no reason attached. The learning phase sets your floor, not your gut. Meta wants about 50 optimization events per ad set per week. Under that you sit in Learning Limited. So work backwards. Target cost per conversion, times 50, divide by 7. That's your daily minimum for ONE ad set. If that number scares you, optimize for something cheaper than purchase first. And yeah, CPMs are up. Roughly 20% year over year.

Ad costs definitely trend upward over time due to increased advertiser competition, making creative optimization and solid retention funnels crucial.

Yeah cpms are definitely up but it's mostly because everyone is running the same generic creatives and letting broad targeting do the work. @Chunkulus is right about the 50 conversions math, but if you're on a tight budget starting out, you can still get away with learning limited if your angle is strong enough. I'd say start with $20-30 a day just to see if your hook even gets clicks. If you can't get cheap clicks, no amount of budget is going to save the campaign anyway.

Recently, Facebook has been demanding higher quality content and videos, and advertising is more expensive because customers now have many other channels to shop and receive content.

Yes, I encountered a similar situation with the same setup, but the results were only half as good, and the costs were sky-high. What helped me was cutting creative costs; I used AI to assist, which allowed me to experiment more without exceeding my budget.

That’s right advertising is quite expensive these days compared to the past. That’s why I think it’s best to test multiple campaigns with small budgets; you should only increase the budget once you’ve found a successful campaign.

Make it simple and it costs you much less; use your reels who performed good (views not followers) for an ad campaign. Otherweise the Zuckerberg algo will scamming you with useless expensive traffic and high cpc cost, a scam.

Normally, I would start by testing around $20 per day for each campaign and monitor the key metrics for about one week. After that, I would keep the campaigns that perform well, turn off the underperforming ones, and gradually increase the budget for the profitable campaigns rather than scaling too quickly

Yes, Facebook Ads costs (CPM/CPC) are becoming increasingly expensive due to high competition and changing algorithms. For beginners, the most suitable starting budget is $5–$10/day per ad group to test content and target audience before scaling up.
