So what is done usually:
1. get a domain
2. seo

Have anyone tried to do the opposite? create off page seo and then buy the domain and do the website? Or it would be something like buying long forgotten expired domain? Any ideas about this, any experience to share?

How would you create off page SEO without a website/place to send traffic?

the thought is: could it give you a rapid ranking as soon as you get the domain? in case of a new domain. as if you over do things with a new domain you get a penalty.

do all that work then go buy the domain only to find out someone else buys it good one

Go ahead and do it and let's know what your results are. Fail or succeed, we will learn from your experience.

You can try building some quality expired web2.0 with good DA metrics, fill with articles, let them get indexed. In the meantime build your money site and concentrate on the on page seo. Once done and money site get indexed too, you can slowly link those web2.0 to your site.
Not a bad approach, OP.

That just stupid , what happends when you
do all the work for onsite seo and your niche domain is not avaliable .

your domain name is important for ranking or authority
and https is a must todays world of seo.

I see what your saying your in thory land.

a domain name not having a niche to the new website is less
in weight then having a niche in the domain.

but if you look at the seo game as google tell ya ,your aproch wont matter
And be correct un google eyes, if you use the title tag with the niche your are in.

if you do seo correctly it not hard at all to be honest.

I think the donain name should also have part of the title name in my opinion just
gives your website more of a push.

OP, as a matter of fact, I might be trying this method on my new niche site :) Will inform you how it turn out.

Google does not see a title matching a domain as a duplicate,
infact google see the title and donain the same as more weight in
the search world , so getting a domain that can match your niche and
adding the title as the same as the domain give you a push in being found in the
search engines ......

tittle ==> homes
domain =>https://www.homes..com

is more powerfull then

tittle. Homes
domain www.planes.com

That`s what i`m thinking at the moment. it does might happen that the planned domain might get bought buy someone else. You do the seo for not existing domain after all. still in the worst case you can always change the links for any other domain, so the work is not lost.

Also thinking of trying to do it. just really want to find out how would it be to create seo for non existing domain and to purchase domain after that.

Actually I seen mickyfu mention he spams the domain he plans to purchase with a ton of links before he purchases it.

I seen him mention this multiple times so it seems like it works. It is churn and burn tho.
