I know that Affiliate Marketing or Dropshipping can be considered a real business online but that's not what I had in mind.

I'm thinking of starting a Real Estate Marketing Company.

A little background. I have an affiliate site that makes $800-$1,000/month Online. I'm currently a senior in college and last summer I interned at a real estate company.

Really quick I noticed I was good at real estate marketing. I was good at bringing leads and sales to the agent I was assigned to. Many other people in the company actually wanted to pay me to build their website.

I'm thinking of starting a real estate marketing company after graduation. I know doing Affiliate Marketing or Drop Shipping is a completely different ball game because you have to deal with clients. I heard working with clients is a nightmare.

Thoughts? Have any of you done something similar? If yes, what was your experience?

Real estate it`s evergreen, but where you get the owners? If you arrive at least 10-20 as a start maybe in a long time, you grow.

I use to do another business and I fail hard. Young boy 19 years old, no idea about paperwork and shit, three months hard fail, and few k went in vain. It`s hard to do business, trust me. If you are right on IM, do online marketing.

Clients can be a nightmare, especially when they don’t pay their invoices..

Always keep great records, set up the right business structure, always get a great CPA. Pretty much general business stuff mate.

I have a lot of ideas on how to get clients. I was thinking of PPC advertising. Going to networking events. Referrals. Maybe giving agents a free month to show them what I can do.

I like IM I just like a traditional business also. Affiliate Marketing is good passive income but I want to build an empire not just make a living.

Yeah, I owned a tutoring company for a bit till school work got in the way. I always keep a credit card on file for automatic billing. Thanks for the advice man.

Good decision after some real experience.

Best of luck buddy.

Young man, your posts are scatterbrained, and you need to think about if the thoughts coming into your head make any sense whatsoever before you let them influence your actions. The whole point of affiliate marketing is that you DON'T have to work with clients... you generate the conversion and you're done. It's the easiest business to run in the world. Starting a real estate company is definitely going to be way more headache than affiliate marketing is. They're like opposites. You need to be available 24/7 in real estate (or so I've heard). You don't need to reply to emails for days (or at all) if you're doing AM. So that's first off.

You also seem to be under the impression that affiliate marketing is only good for making side income, and you need a "real" business to make any actual money. Just because you only make 800-1,000 per month doesn't mean that's the limit. AM is one of the lowest cost businesses to start, and the easiest to scale. Can you start a real estate company without going into the red for months? Probably not, though I'm no real estate expert.

Why not just get better at whatever you're doing to turn 800 a month into 4,000 - 8,000 a month? If you think that switching to a "real" business is going to be easier, it's not. It's going to be way harder. So do whatever you want, maybe AM isn't for you, and you get off on the thought of owning a "real" business. Maybe you're a genuine real estate prodigy and that is your passion. Whatever. Just think about it and make the decision yourself. Then you own it.

Wise words! Thank you!

If you can do IM and want to do local marketing for real estate lead generation, I say go for it. It's a lot easier than competing globally with affiliate marketing and (sometimes) can be way more profitable. Why wait until after you graduate though? Now would be the best time.

no, none of us run online businesses here. we're all broke chodes that work at mcdonalds

Sure I have done several. I had an online marketing and SEO company that I sold that I spun off the web hosting from and now I have the hosting company.

If your good at something go after it. It's when you try and chase a dollar is when things start to fall apart on you.

Best of luck
