Since 2015, I often use Quora to drive tangible traffic by linking to my site without necessarily spamming everyone over the place. However, this can be a hit or a miss and you know this when Quora moderators occasionally send you an email notification about your content.

My questions:

How much spam violation can get a URL blacklisted in Quora?
How many violations (spam especially) would get you banned from Quora?

Self-promotion on Quora is bannable if putting it on peoples questions. I myself am a user since 2013 and was warned for advertising a finance website. It was very complicated but eventually, they came around and unlocked my account. Remeber this was in 2013, I would assume since more people use it now their rules would be even stricter or maybe there less strict I'm not sure. All I'm saying is don't take the risk if you're concerned about your account.

Did a venture with quora some time ago, and would get bans left and right.

Was more lenient than, is more strict now I assume.

Use it for whats its good for.

I have 4 accounts on quora created since 2014. I send 2 articles on each account every 3 days and never have any issue yet. All articles about promote the product and new sites.

@krishnaverma once got banned there for asking too many questions.
If that was the case, I would be getting banned there everyday with a new account. :) OP , they rarely ban, at most they will remove the answer.

I love Quora.

Reddit is like hell when it comes to mod lol.

When your account is having bot upvotes or your answers are getting deleted(due to policy violations) quite frequently then you'll ban.

Did Quora account botting get you or someone you know banned? I mean yourself or any personal experience.

I have a guy who sell upvotes and sell it almost daily. New and return buyers keep coming back is what I noticed.

Probably the buyers are getting away with it. Though I haven't use his service anyway.

If they see your post against the rules and regulations then they banned you. Try not to add links in any of your answer. After few days add the links, so you'll be safe.

I got banned for putting my link there, but it matched the question and of all answeres it was best, it's weird people post shitty links and get away and when I post my link they get pissed they unlocked my account post a while

Ohhk, but when i did my answers were removed not an acc yet. But as per rules if they keep removing an answers account will be banned soon.
I have 2k answers in Quora - added links whatever seems suitable, never have problems with that. Now BNBR violations are another story. :D

Yeah I've had multiple accounts being banned. Usually for spamming answers and self-promoting. All of my accounts were on the same IP as well so that's the reason for it I believe. Always important to build up these profiles legitimately and then throw in your self promotion, if you want to avoid being banned.
