99% of journey threads the OP disappears after a handful of posts.
Has anyone ever "finished" a journey thread?

I think 1% did... I notice that too. Unless they are making the big bucks and they decide to not share anymore. I was thinking about starting a CB and YT journey but their are so many.

I've read lots of journeys that finished. So yes, people do reach what they aim for even tho it is not my case :\

Often times the journey thread turns into one where people are discussing the process and other ancillary things related to the journey and sort of derails it from being spot on but there is still a bunch of information to learn from most of the journey threads.

I can't answer for everyone, but I know the current Journey I am working on is going slow because it's a side project
that doesn't hold importance over a dozen other important things I manage and build. You do kind of owe it to your
subscribers and followers to finish one.
Still, the "my journey" section is a great place to learn from someone's implementation. I use it more for instructional
purposes or case studies these days.
