Just saw news that HARO, bought out by "Connectively' is being shut down so they can focus on other crap.
I have a feeling this is going to effect a lot of people, a lot of services here. maybe even wider into journalism. I wonder what's next

Thats bad, so outreach normally to journalist`s from now on then maybe.
Conversion rate is going to significantly drop. The last time I tried reaching out to them, it was like speak to a void.

Why do businesses buy out other businesses only to shut it down. Integration into their own system while maintaining the features/services should ideally be the best.

There are other alternatives to HARO, the concept is the same, so I guess it won't change that much.
Interested to hear @SEO Duke 's opinion on that
I was surprised to see the email just now. HARO (Connectively) has been a great, budget-friendly choice with strong site connections. However, there are some other options and some HARO reporters may switch to other platforms as an alternative.

Got this email this morning, so I knew about it. I'm already working on ways to collect valuable data from this.

What are some of the other alternatives to HARO? I used to like the daily digests - it gave a bit of a pulse on the industry... what other sites do the daily digests? Thanks!

Someone can start a similar platform like HARO?

1 month, you mean? More than enough in my opinion.
Bro is time travelling :D.

30 days is average notice period anyway, iirc.

What a mess, are there any other good alternatives others can recommend?
There’s already several alternatives.

Featured.com (Disclosure: I’m the founder)
Qwoted
HelpaB2B Writer Out
SourceBottle (based in Australia)
X (#journorequest)

There’s more that have sprung up as well. For the most part, sourcing experts is an infinite problem journalists face. The industry shouldn’t really miss a beat with this announcement.

Might be time to start looking at niche-specific platforms or even direct outreach

A gap in the market also means an opportunity for someone to fill in that void ;)
potential new business ready to be potentially booming ;)
for better or worse

May be you can now outreach to the journalist directly on Twitter. Its more interactive.
