This is a Informational keyword:

Keywords used to discover on a particular topic. This includes keywords beginning with "how to..." or what are the best..."

@hacko so I have read this awesome KW research guide 2 times now.

I have got some questions:

What if I want to target more than just one KW in my post?
Do I just repeat those KWs a couple of times throughout the content? + add some LSI keywords?

Also would you rather choose an old domain or a new domain for a small affiliated niche site for faster and better rankings?

Haven't seen many worse KW research tools. Their formula will show most ecom keywords as low comp while in reality that's not the case. It is also buggy af and last time I checked they require you to use your own APIs. The fact that it's sold on ClickBank and IMers who look for commission only promote it should be reason enough to stay away.

I just use Yoast and plug it in as the focus keyword. Just having it in proper headings and a couple times around the content should be enough, although if it's higher MS you can put it in the title/desc too. LSIs will also help, of course.

In my experience, clean expired domains will show up in SERPs a little faster compared to brand new domains, but I don't think they help much in terms of ranks. Expired domains with strong backlink profiles are a different case, of course.

Well you are right
And Now that Google Adwords (keyword planner) updated, I can't use it to generate keyword and still no update from them.
Can you suggest another keyword tools (i prefer to use desktop version)?

I just wanted to ask what you meant by this? Are category pages from authority sites harder to outrank than their product pages?
 
how effective is this method for folks doing affiliate marketing and using this guide to lead a ppc campaign? im sure the answer is fucking great but this guide is tailored for people trying to rank sites correct?

Most of the time, yes. That's what can make all the difference, in my experience. Product pages are a common occurrence and not something to be afraid of (obviously not 100% of cases), and I get confused when clients expect that an affiliate keyword worth targeting shouldn't have larger sites' cat pages on page 1.

Yes, it is. However, you can use the techniques mentioned here to find good keywords and then use something like KWFinder to sort for PPC cost instead of Difficulty though. You still need to manually go through them later for best results.

The reason I asked you is I have seen a niche recently where the top 5 results were all category pages of ebay, amazon, walmart etc.. Since all these pages do not have any content on them, but all they do is list products, I thought this might actually be a good opportunity to publish a long article on the topic and try to rank it. Then I noticed some high authority sites with articles on the topic ranking on positions 5-10. The niche keyword I tested was: buy nichekeyword so I guess it could be google favoring these types of category pages even before actual content pages just because there is buyer intent with the keyword buy in the keyword phrase?

That, and also the fact that these category pages have a lot of power because of the sites' silo structure. That's why targeting "buy nichekeyword" types of keywords are rarely a good idea, especially when your domain is new(er).
