It seems Avast is now detecting this. I don't know if other anti-virus software are up to date:
I've got the same from my Avast, it's a positive sign.
Also I've been notified of a malicious JS of CoinHive from Google Chrome when I was surfing of a web series streaming website. Another positive sign.
I believe that mining could be a profitable way of monetizing website, only in a white hat way. For example, writing in the cookie policy and privacy police that this site actually use a legit JS script miner.
The questions are:
Is there a legit way to use a JS miner script that is not recognized as malicious?
The 80% will be mobile traffic. Can a smartphone or a tablet handle a JS script miner? Does it worth?

Crazy thing is most people don't even check their CPU usage so loads of people have no clue about any of this

It's really funny that they're all using coinhive... I've been using cloudcloins service on my sites (look at my name... I'll give you one guess what kind of sites lol) and have been earning 20% + more than I did with coinhive.. 30% fees? what a ripoff!
