Hacked 1.3m Account - What steps to take?

I have gotten an account of mine hacked, it's currently sitting at 1.3m followers and can no longer gain access to it nor any of my emails regardless of it being linked to the instagram or not - my second page got deleted also.

What to do?
I have submitted a hack report to IG.

Hope you get them both restored asap!
 
Best thing to do is to report it to Instagram. Hope you get it back though!
 
That sucks, but I don't get one thing. Why so many of the big Instagram pages get hacked? Do you guys take care of the security of your account(s) at all? It's very easy to secure an Instagram account in my opinion.
 
This might sound raw,but i think you can try hacking it back. My elder bro had a similar issue out of negligence,after two sleepless nights, he hacked it back.

I have tried that, they took everything!
 
Just wait the IG support reply, You will be asked to provide a registration email and a few uncropped pics from your feed. It doesn't take much time to restore an account, especially if you have a proof that you're the original owner.
 
Does anybody know how these accounts get hacked? Are they truly "hacked" via the phone or something, or is it just being lazy on the account owners part. I'm not saying this is the OP, but I hear and see so many accounts that get hacked. Does IG have a security issue or is it just people being lazy.
 
The owner gave away his password. Simple stupidity that these idiots will never admit too because they will get laughed at. So naturally they will claim that they didn't give out their log in details to anybody to save face.

I know, I wouldn't even know where to start in order to hack it back - they got the main email and anything linked to it too!

The only possible way is to try with magic, contact @pewep, he can help you.

Someone hacked FB itself, had shell access. I imagine he could take any account he wants: http://thehackernews.com/2016/04/hack-facebook-account.html
