Guy Rages at Windows 10 Updates

I kinda agree with this guy regarding windows 10.
 
The guy has a point. Windows 10 is truly shit.
 
Attention seeking retard who thinks he will make it big on YouTube. Sick of seeing these bellends al over Facebook. Especially the ones posting videos of their kids. Sick attention whores.

I don't really understand these complaints against Windows 10 either, mine updates maybe once in every two weeks, also the restart - which is triggered by the update - can easily be rescheduled to a later date.

I only have good experience with Win 10 after a few months of usage, i've never used Windows 8 or 8.1, so i can't speak for those, but it beats Win 7 for sure, which is already a quite good OS.
With Win 10 the whole system runs a lot smoothly using the same programs what i ran on Win 7. It appears, MS finally managed to optimize the memory footprint of programs, especially browsers, for instance Firefox's memory usage usually is around 400-500 MB now, i have never seen it going above 700 MB even though i don't shut my system down for weeks and FF runs throughout the whole time. Whereas before on Win 7, it wasn't unusual for the memory consumption to go above 1,5 GB, sometimes even close to 2 GB after just running FF for 1 day.

My Windows 10 does not update for the following reasons: it is the long term service branch of Enterprise, the group policy and administrative templates are set to disallow updating and telemetry, the binaries allowing updates and telemetry are renamed and removed respectively, the installation is inside a virtual machine.

Most of the people I know are moving to Linux and only running Windows in a VM for the programs they use that require it. They only run the VM's when they have to.

Without the spyware and tracking, Windows 10 (really Windows 9 renamed to attempt to fool the public out of the good/bad release cycles of Windows) might be a good OS if it did not have the tracking and spyware, and the updates were controllable like they are in the Enterprise version. With all the crap enabled, Windows 10 is an operating system that only the US government could like. The US government is upgrading to Windows 10 in order to have a cohesive government wide OS. MS would be in serious trouble if they abused government secrets. Other governments like Russia and China are prohibiting Windows 10 because of the spyware and tracking.

Cellphones are a different animal. You expect to be tracked when you have a cellphone, and it really is the nature of the beast. That being said, I upgraded my cellphone to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 so that I could edit the registry and remove the carrier restrictions. That worked fairly well, but there are bugs, and big ones! on the mobile OS.

My everyday uses Windows 8.1 with Classic shell and all updates limited because I became tired of the MS sneak in the backdoor tricks. Telemetry is also disabled and binaries removed. Funny thing there, even in W10 I had to install classic shell to have a usable menu structure. Business wants a stable OS, not a moving target, and they want the security of owning their own data rather than they and MS owning that data.

One thing I'm not convinced about, that this whole spying thing came with Win 10 and wasn't present in their former OSes. While installing Win 10, you can turn a lot of things off, which look like that they are there for tracking purposes.

Most of our data, browsing habits are already with Google, Facebook or someone else, one more company doesn't really matter, does it?
But then again, i'm not a US person, i'm not really concerned about my privacy being violated by a US company, i don't have anything to hide.
 
office rage videos were more popular with win xp hanging, anyways i am win 10, it updates a lot, but every update worth it.

The spying thing with OS's, except in specific cases in which MS cooperated with the US govt. actually did come about with W10. When the spying, tracking, and telemetrics in W10 became a problem, MS responded by attempting to install such in W7/8/8.1. There is quite a public history on the issue of MS installing the spying and tracking software in lower versions of Windows after W10 came about if you care to look it up. Without much looking, you can even find the service updates (KB's) that installed the crap on lower versions than W10. With very little more looking, you can find out how MS keeps attempting to install that crapware.

You assert that you are not a US citizen that has to be worried about a US company spying on you. Most of the people that ask my advise are from Europe, so we can go past that pretty easily. Many of the people on this forum are English. The activities of the GHCQ should be of great concern for you.

There have been a few tests of the W10 tracking being turned off. W10 was installed in a VM with all the tracking options turned off. The VM was monitored with Wireshark. Surprise of all surprises, tracking and keylogging was not turned off. This is also true of the enterprise versions. Version 1511 is the most current. W10, version 1511 was installed in a VM and all the data logging, spyware, and keylogging disabled in the administrative and group policy template. Nothing else was installed, The VM was left idling and monitored over a 24 hour period with Wireshark. The Enterprise version of W10 attempted to contact Microsoft servers 1500 times over that 24 hour period. I say attempted because the IP addresses were disabled in a router firewall.

Do bear in mind that this is a very small portion of the log. In the full log, several of the IP's that attempts to make contact with were in the UK. The test was conducted in the US.

lol, i get this guys madness about windows 10, it's a bolted piece of crap unless you tweek the OS and opt out of all windows 10 spying and they don't make it easy to find all the spy settings. I never had this restart problem, but this guy and any one else that's interested should start at the links below.
