It's great that you shared it but if this is still ranking, it really belongs in Jr. VIP. OP should be insta-promoted for the share and the thread should be moved (Again, if it's still ranking) to Jr. VIP. That's my opinion anyway and it's a semi-common occurrence here on BHW. I reported the thread with that very suggestion as the comment. Here's hoping.
True enough. Equally true is that if you believe every working method belongs in the public index, you're on the wrong forum. BHW does not operate under a philosophy of "All information should be free and open to the general public." Of course any of this mattering depends on whether or not the method still affects search rank.

I would caution anyone who is thinking of doing this. I was just doing some searching about PDF backlinks and found anecdotal evidence that G may penalize you for linking your keywords in PDF files. Just linking your domain or dropping an unlink might be fine though. If I were trying it, I would post a unique generated PDF on each site and not stuff the link with keywords. G may hold PDF files in similar regard as widgets.
