[GUIDE] Newbie Friendly Keyword Difficulty Checking ✅

Every keyword research tool has "Keyword Difficulty" number. And I think these numbers some kind of equation making with DA, PA, Backlinks of top results.
So they can work.
But how low they can be for spotting a easy keyword?
I mean, at Ahrefs or Ubersuggest can have different formula for KD and ubersuggest tags color coded them. I used filter to get the easy ones. Like, green ones are easy:

I don't know about Ahrefs' low KD definition.

If you group buy Ahrefs you'll just be giving away your keywords to other people. There are other great tools out there that are $20 per month and give you similar tools to Ahrefs.
 
Thanks again for this guide. Got a few questions about this, and would appreciate if someone could clarify or share their thoughts on them.

Okay, 3130 results is a lot, and 190 is easy, but what would you consider to be the limit of easy-ish ranking? is 1k still easy, or should I just skip it, and find easier ones.

Again what would be considered "a lot" for a keyword? I just searched for one of my keywords, #1 site had 150 link, and #2 had 9k links

would you have an approx DA/PA number, which we should just stay away from. say sites are around 40 PA and 40 DA, and we only have around 15 , should we just give up?

I'm just asking those because I'm pretty new to this, and I am working on the SEO of my own e-commerce website, in a rather competitive market. my DA is 15, and I dont want to spend the time and $ which I dont really have on keywords that I will never be able to rank.

1. Manually review the sites. There can be 300 results from Pinterest pins. Manually check and ask yourself if you can outrank them.

2. Totally individually. Can you build better links than them? What type of links they have?

3. Check if they are niche sites first. If they are niche sites that means they are relevant to the keyword. Of they aren't and rank for a pretty irrelevant keyword the keyword is easy.
