Im not sure if you read everything. I said stay away from fiverr UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! There're some good sellers but there're many scammers.

I disagree on a couple of things.

I still have accounts up for 7months+ now and they are not phone verified.

And lots of subscribers help with not getting flagged as easy (in my experience).

Otherwise, it's a pretty solid guide but I see a lot of people posting similar ones.. but cool that you're trying to help out.

You seem to be experienced with YT ranking, so i will ask you something about my experience ;-).

I have a video, which when i made(10 months ago) it was ranking with just Vagex views. Then YT changed their algo and my Video went to 10th page after a while.
I had 70k views.
So i decided about 1,5 month ago to buy high retention views.
I bought 10k from BigBuddy. They warent full length views (my video is 45 mins long)
This is what happen:
KW1: the [KW] dissapeared from search
KW2: [KW] went to 3-4. page

So this is one of things that i do not understand, why first one disapeared?

Then i decided to try a fiverr gig and bought 20k high retention views. And i've got 100k full length views. Referrer was FB.

Then also KW2 disapeared from search.
The video itself was not banned thou. And i am still getting very few views and also clicks on description link.

So now i have about 189k views, from that 110k high retention on that video, but it disapeared from the most important search phrases.
So i do not understand it at all. That BigBuddy views werent too much so it should not disapear at all.

Any ideas about it?
Or how to "fix" it?

YouTube changed the algo to also make social signals a part of ranking factors.
Several more things have been made important including good quality do-follow links.
The other factors are as the above.
Please do tell me if you employed everything.

I said that PVA makes you seem more legit towards YT. I know I ran a non-PVA for over 2 years but recently YT just didn't allow me to log-in without verifying.
And yea but the subs don't make you seem legit to potential buyers/customers.

Actually ranking a video has no trick. It all comes together when you employ all the ranking factors :)

Is there a recommended limit on views? Should I just get as many as I can afford or does the effect on rank taper off after a certain point?

well actually there's no limit to the number of views one can have but it's always better to have the views is proportion to the likes comments etc.
 
So my actual video stats are:
194.616 views
850 ups
7 downs
25 comments
163 subscribes
31 videos in channel. But they are not in the same niche.
Age of the channel is about 1 year.
7 backlinks (3 domains) all d0f0ll0w
1 Google+
37 tweets
26 FB Likes
8 FB Shares

So does this help you with identifying the problem? :-)

Hi thanks for the prompt reply. I understand there is no limit to the number of views one can have, but I was curious if the effect of the views on your rank stopped (or was less effective) after a certain point.

Hmm....you've done everything right. How old is the video? And do you mass upload? Is it your own video?

No. There's no point. Views can be effective no matter how much there is. But you just need to keep an eye on the ratios :)

10 months old.
Mass upload? Just 31 videos in the channel.
None of them is my creation ;-).

I also like to mention the website www.viewtubetrain.com for getting full length views....though its too slow in getting point but it will help you get watched your video in full length!

I always mix Enhanceview,SYV,viewtubetrain,vagex etc to get good amount of views and to look the views natural.

I have made a tools for personal use to get views by searching on youtube with my keywords from different country (IP) & Differences sources.. I also set different time frame for different views.....tested very good but way too slow :( it give me like 1500 views in 24 hours (ha ha) but all views are above 50 sec-2 minutes watched.I have no idea how to make it multi threaded! so this tool is worthless for now.but hope i could find a way to make it multi-threaded and giveaway to my BHW members.
