I’ve noticed that a lot of people run into this issue. Based on my own experience, there are three main reasons why this might happen:

✅ Reason 1: The content isn’t engaging enough

TikTok values content above all else. Even if you don’t have many followers, your video can still go viral if the content is engaging. While TikTok doesn’t provide specific algorithms, to go viral, your video needs to get interactions such as comments, shares, saves, and so on.

Make sure to avoid posting banned content (it’s a good idea to review TikTok’s policies). If you're reposting videos, remember to edit them, not just upload the original. A light edit is fine, but if you don’t make any changes, you could risk getting your account banned.

✅ Reason 2: Account restriction

Your TikTok account might be shadowbanned or have limited engagement due to spamming or posting inappropriate content. This can especially happen with newly created accounts if they aren’t given a proper "warm-up" period.

✅ Reason 3: Device

This issue usually arises when your account is shadowbanned or banned altogether, and TikTok might put your device’s information on a blacklist. If you’re using a mobile device, try switching to a different one if your current device gets banned.

Here are a few tips to help manage your TikTok account on mobile:
  • For iPhone: If you’re facing the "0 views" issue, try resetting your device. After resetting, when you choose the region, switch to the region you want to target (for example, switch to the US if you want to target that market). Then, after 1-2 days, download the app and log in as usual.
  • For Android: Do the same steps as for iPhone.
Additionally, if you’re creating a TikTok account for the US (or other countries with a Beta or Creator Fund), keep the following in mind:
  • Change the region and language on your phone. For example, if you’re creating a US TikTok account, set your region to the US and the language to English.
  • Use a VPN to fake your IP. Make sure to turn on the VPN each time you open the TikTok app.
  • Uninstall the old TikTok app and download the new one after you’ve faked your IP, changed the region, and set the language.
  • Register the account as usual.
  • Let the account sit and grow for 5-7 days without aggressively following others to avoid being flagged as spam.
For other countries, follow the same steps - don’t forget to fake your IP, change the region, and set the language. Also, for those managing multiple accounts, you might want to try using a browser setup with a proxy and anti-detect browser tools.

In general, the most important thing to focus on is investing in good video content and using effective hashtags. If you're going for a niche or trend, make sure to post during trending times to get recommended. I hope these tips help you overcome the "0 view" issue on TikTok.

Do you have specific recommendations for vpn, browser and proxy setup?

i suggest you getting openwrt and setting wireguard vpn on it and then you just connect to this access point and you are in your target country. Iphone/Android doesn't have any proxy/vpn config so no way for app to detect it

For proxies, it's best to choose residential or mobile proxies for the most authentic user experience. Since TikTok still prioritizes mobile, mobile proxies should work well. As for VPNs, there are many providers available - check out the Marketplace or popular ones like NordVPN, for example. Just be sure to avoid using free proxies or free VPNs, as they can often get blacklisted.

If you're looking to set up on a browser, you can consider my service - antidetect browser Hidemyacc.

For iPhone and Android, you can download apps to configure proxies or VPNs to change your IP address. However, you first need to create an account in that region, using the method I explained in the article.

Content and images are the most important. However, when the number of views is 0, we need to reconsider the account and device used to upload the video.

Yes, that's right. Video content is still the most important and should be invested in the most. Even accounts with fewer followers can still go viral. However, if you're frequently experiencing 0 views, you need to reconsider the account, as it could be facing issues like shadowban, etc.

Through your article, I just learned that there is also a reason from the device. Something I never thought of before, I just thought it was because of my tiktok account or because my videos were not good enough for SEO. I will apply your strategy to see if it is more effective.

Don’t repost without edits, TikTok doesn’t like copy-paste content, bro

Yes, of course. If you're going the reupload content route, you definitely need to edit the video before uploading it to the platform. Otherwise, your channel is very likely to get reported

your advice is super thorough, and honestly, focusing on content quality and proper account/device hygiene is what really moves the needle with TikTok growth.

This guide is not fixing that ;)

Everything is wrong here

Really? xD

There are countless factors that can trigger 0 views. Some of them can be lack of warm up or ... iCloud used for spam on iOS. There are many others, but first time I hear about uninstalling for 2 days xD
Maybe you should add double backflip?

But I leave the tests for users ;)

I have listed other reasons above. As for the device, it's just personal tips, and I'm sharing my own experience. It may not work for everyone. However, resetting the device, changing the region, and language is a way for TikTok to recognize the device as a new one.

Yes, I agree. The most important thing is still the content. How you produce engaging content depends a lot on the topic and the approach, and you have to test many types of content to experiment and find the one that works best.

What's your recommended warm-up period for newly created accounts?

Shadow ban happens very often. It is not possible to change the device, but I am working on a few different alternatives.

Nếu bạn không thể change device thì có thể farm accounts on browser profiles by using antidetect browser and proxies. This method works.
