[Guide] Growing Twitter accounts by mass following

Anyone know how many accounts you can get away with on one IP address?

No one will believe this but I run about 700 accounts on 1 IP. I am very conservative with my limits, most accounts are now at least a year old. Most have 500-1500 followers (and follow about the same #). They all tweet from time to time as well. I hear so much about 'too many accounts on one IP' and it has simply never been an issue for me.

What if I am a professional social media manager? What if I am an internet cafe? What if I am a school? There are a million reasons a single IP might have lots of accounts. I think its more to do with behavior than IP.

Hey... what software is the best to keep track of following and then unfollow that also uses proxies for the account creation?

My theory on switching IPs is almost like eqpaisley's. I would imagine that you would want to create accounts from multiple IPs, but when you follow people using different IPs, it doesn't make sense.

For example, if I were to track behavior, creating multiple accounts from the same account in a short time will 'score' the account to be monitored a bit more closely.

If on the other hand, you tweet from the same IP at a 'normal' rate and the other accounts are not 'scored' to be spammy, then you should be OK.

Regardless, what's the best software for following, then unfollowing at an easy slow pace?

Thanks,
CM

You might have to update your thread. We cannot mass follow/unfollow anymore? Due to the twitter API change following/unfollowing with the original daily limit will get you banned. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I have been advised by seasoned blackhatters not to use this method anymore instead use a new one.

Is still working fine for me on my bigger accounts, you have to go a lot easier with new accounts now though.

I'll get a new guide posted when I've done some more testing & I find the time.

Ah i see. Do you think we can still hit the 1000 follows/unfollows a day with aged accounts? i'm hearing of a new method now..

I got a few really old accounts (3+ years old) and I follow 700-800 people per day without any problem. I think the most important factor is age. The older your account the less likely is it will get banned.

yes definitely. however the question here is does following and then unfollowing all the time trigger twitter now. because following is fine but the combination of actions is rumored to trigger twitter now when doing it in large amounts.

Right, but if you keep it under the radar, there shouldn't be any issues... I'm just looking a beefing up a few twitter accounts. But the logic has to be there to be able to see what accounts have followed x number of people per day and after a few days, check to see if those who you follow are not following back to unfollow them (but put them in queue to unfollow).

Regardless, what's the best software to do this? I don't have time to write a program or php script (which would be ideal and use mysql to keep track of things).

This method is not working with new rules. Your accounts will be banned if you use mass follow method.

of course if you are 'under the radar' you wont be banned, however when trying to yield impactful results you'll have to be a little 'on the radar' as far as following/unfollowing goes.

you can follow/unfollow 100-200 and be safe, but if were trying to make substantial growth we know well have to kick it up a notch.

best twitter softwares depend on what you need them for. I use custom bots now but TA4 and TD were among the most popular when I was using reg bots

I have 50 proxies but I'm more concerned with how many accounts I can run at the same time.
It seems like you can follow 70 a day for newer accounts and 100-200 or more for older accounts.
However, in order to bring traffic I need to do multiple follow tasks at one time.

50 private proxies youll be good with one for each individual account. that way you'll always safe. unless they are very high quality putting multiple accounts per proxy can be risky.

so what the latest on all this

I cooled off Twidium follow for a bit after 2 twitter bans (60-90 follows per day)

I only tweet every few days (which might be the problem)

How many Follows can i do a day on a few months old Twitter? if I only tweet every few days.

Also:
Now I try to tweet just words with no links to look better for Twitter. Twitter T&C says you need posts with status updates not links.

I got banned from an aged account from following 500 a day

I wanted to share some statistics to hopefully help someone walking that thin line in using automated methods on Twitter. I hope this can be helpful to somebody, because it would have helped me.

Had an aged account from 2010.
It had 2,000 followers until 2013, when I started following 500-800 a day until I reached 42,000.
You do the math, but I've been doing it for 3-4+ months. I missed a few days+

-Followed 500-800 a day (automated)
-NO automated private messages.
-Automated posting every 45 minutes. REALISTIC posting no ads or spam. As if I were a real person.
-I don't know for how long, but my search results would not show up for obvious reasons.
-For 5 days after the suspension I was still getting a bunch of the automated private messages that you get from following people. (Maybe I followed too many, and it stacked too much?? Idk)
-Suspension happened shortly after I removed "#teamfollowback" from my description. I'm not saying it has anything to do with it, but mmmayyybeee.

I got my account immediately back after doing the captcha.
All advice is much appreciated, on where to go from here, how many to start following again (if any) or how much to tone down the automation.

But mainly I wanted to share this somewhere to compare situations, because there a lot of us out there doing this.

From my post here

What do u think about Justunfollow? i think it's the best service for following/unfollowing etc., but I don't know if they use proxy.

Anyway, I have about 200 account, and the last night Twitter banned 7 of them. 6 small, and 1 big (25000 followers, 24000 following). Everyday I defollow who don't follow me, follow who followed me, and follow 600 new followers.

Continue following 100 people per day until the account has 1,000 followers.

I don't know if this limit was different in the past, but now it is 2,000.

From this point you can follow 10% each day of the total number of followers you have - so if you had 2,000 followers you would be able to follow 200 per day - until you get to 5,000 followers & are following 500 accounts per day.

Following around 300 per day with an aged account (and tons of legit activity) after hitting 1,000 followers has been a safe value for me.

Thanks alot for the info op will be trying it out. Just had a couple noob questions related to buying & mass follow and unfollowing of people.

If my account is new ( im following 70 and i have 10 followers) will buying 5k be a red flag? Not too sure if this would violate twitters terms of use or whatever. This account is whitehat so i dont want to risk being banned especially at the start, where i plan on flooding my followers with content.

Also the mass following unfollowing software im planning on using is twidium, anyone have any expierence with this? Anyone have a free software to recommend?
