Yes, same function, different brand, I don´t see the hype about Cpanel, been using both for years .. Don´t worry .. =)Is directadmin similar to cpanel? because their price in hostkoala is night and day. Currently subscribed to the cPanel of hostkoala.
Even cheaper with coupon, Code TWITTER2021 to get 30% off your first invoice on any new service you order. So a $5 a year DirectAdmin account is only $3.50 or $9.80 for 3 years with the coupon.lol $5/year is a steal.
frickin steal. the support is great in hostkoala. not paid to say that btw.Even cheaper with coupon, Code TWITTER2021 to get 30% off your first invoice on any new service you order. So a $5 a year DirectAdmin account is only $3.50 or $9.80 for 3 years with the coupon.
Yes, it´s been 2 years since I started this thread, still happy with them for that price .. =)frickin steal. the support is great in hostkoala. not paid to say that btw.
how could you operate a site w/o cpanel?Nope, DirectAdmin, but almost the same, get´s the job done.
DirectAdmin has the functions that Cpanel have, just a different brand. If you do not want to use any panel at all, you need to learn how to use Linux on server level. Much harder for anyone new.how could you operate a site w/o cpanel?
Backend Panels - Cpanels/Direct Admin. They both do the same thing just that cPanel is easier to use and has a wider reach that's why it's more expensive.how could you operate a site w/o cpanel?
Ty for the infos. Any coupon code available?Wan´t to start on the cheap side on a small project, here is how I do it for less then $15 a year per project website including a very fast CDN.
If the project turns profitable, I move the website to a much faster solution, so this is just to get the website going for cheap, no big loss if it does not work out.
First I register an account at HostKoala for $5 a year (smallest package) keep the websites on different packages to get as much server resources as possible, I never buy a package and install multiple domains/WordPress sites on it, then I combine that with a CDN from BunnyCDN for a minimum fee of $10 a year this way you will have a great, fast solution for very cheap that does make it easier on your cheap hosting and makes your visitors and Google happy.
I use it myself on my smaller projects based in EU and Netherlands server and have 100% up-time with load speeds of around 250-600 ms on a good optimized WordPress install for me, may be different for someone else. Chose a server near your visitors and where BunnyCDN has a POP in the same area.
Begin with this combination, and you get started for only $15 in total per year. It get´s cheaper when you already have a BunnyCDN account, because you can add as many domains/websites you want there, including your own cdn subdomain like cdn.example.com.
Hope someone have some use of this information .. =)

If your short on money, you can use CloudFlare free option, no problem.@RoiBox thanks for your valuable threads. pardon my curiosity but I just saw cloudflare had a free option that let you add a website.
I know a paid service is good but I just want to know maybe there are some aspects I don't know or understand yet.
Thanks in advance
