Looking for authoritative sites in your niche to link to your website but lacking a Fortune 500 marketing budget or connections with influential bloggers?
It's a strategy that can help you build high-quality backlinks to your website, regardless of your niche, from internships to insurance. I will show you how you can use PPP to generate links and traffic to your site.
When I purchased my first blog on digital marketing, I knew that it was one of the most competitive spaces online. I also knew that publishing great content was not enough to stand out in the real world.
I needed to do something extraordinary to differentiate myself from other sites in the industry.
That's when I decided to implement PPP, which doubled my search engine traffic in just two weeks.
Here's how you can do the same thing for your site using the exact three-step process I used.
Once you have identified content that has a proven track record of generating links, it's time to improve upon it. It's time for PPP to do its magic.
The idea is to take the content you found in Step 1 and make it even better by adding more value to it. By doing this, you create content that everyone will want to link to.
Here are some ideas how you can do it.
Once you have created your improved content, it's time to get the word out. Email outreach is an effective way to do this, but it must be done strategically. Instead of randomly emailing people and asking for a link, reach out to those who are likely to link to your content.
Find people who have linked to the inferior "diamond in the rough" content that you improved upon and reach out to them with a personalized message.
Here's an example of an effective email outreach script:
"Hey Brian,
I was checking out some of the articles on your site and found your post about SEO strategies. Great stuff!
I couldn't help but notice you linked to that classic article about Google's ranking factors. I also love that resource. In fact, it inspired me to create a more thorough and up-to-date version. Here's the link in case you want to check it out. It might be worth a mention in your article. Either way, keep up the awesome work!"
This simple email script has converted at a rate of over 17%, which is significantly higher than that of most email outreach campaigns.
Remember, it's all about quality, not quantity.
Let me know if you found this guide useful. Until next time!

Here's how you can do the same thing for your site using the exact three-step process I used.
Step 1
Excavation
Excavation
- Find content in your niche that has already performed well in terms of attracting:
- links
- social shares
- comments
- traffic.
- Search for competitive keywords in Google to find content that's ranking well, (a sign that it has many links pointing to it.)
- Double-check that it's an authoritative page to see if there are many links pointing to it. Some tools that you can use:
- Ahrefs,
- MajesticSEO,
- Ubersuggest,
- Moz, and
- Open Site Explorer
In my case, I noticed that content around topics like "Google's ranking factors" and "Google's 200 ranking symbols" tended to attract many links, so I used them as the core element of my plan.
Step 2
Polishing
Step 2
Polishing
Once you have identified content that has a proven track record of generating links, it's time to improve upon it. It's time for PPP to do its magic.
The idea is to take the content you found in Step 1 and make it even better by adding more value to it. By doing this, you create content that everyone will want to link to.
Here are some ideas how you can do it.
- Make your content more thorough. For example, I found a post that talked about Google ranking factors but only listed 150 out of the 200 factors, so I made a more complete list of all 200 factors.
- Make your content more up-to-date by researching and including the latest information.
- Design your content better. Design plays a huge role in how valuable people perceive your content to be. The better the design, the higher the perceived value. If you notice that the content you found is not only not thorough and out-of-date, but also poorly designed, invest in creating custom banners or other visual aids to make your content more appealing.
Step 3
