Guaranteed $10K a month online/offline hybrid method.

LOL good point. But was thinking in terms of what an actual dentist might make, ( net vs gross)

their costs are surprisingly low compared to what they charge. My father makes crowns/bridges/etc for dentists and they take what he charges them and add about a 300% mark up on it.

This is pretty much the same idea that was posted in the download section in the "Rent-a-site" pdf. Good value though.

I couldn't find the rent-a-site pdf in the download section. Does someone happen to know the link to it?

Are dentists actually that willing to shell out $400/month to some guy over the phone?

As far as anyone worried about obstacles, I wanted to point out that I do something similar to this on a slightly larger level (national v. regional).

One of my larger clients grosses over 30 MILLION a year selling a consumable perishable product through brick and mortar distribution centers. They have a few dozen employees all over the country.

And they have absolutely no idea what I do to get their site to rank on the search engine. And they don't balk when they cut the check to cover my fees.

Because they don't care. What I do for them makes them more money than they pay me... That's ALL that matters. And if you approach the business you contact with that in mind, then you can't lose.

You will make them MORE MONEY than they will pay you for your service and you both win. Period

Likely not. Your going to have to come off as professional. I would recommend you target a business in your area of residence, so you can talk to them face to face. Provide them with sufficient ID and documents to prove your not some scammer.

I don't think anyone here was planning on simply calling up the business and saying "give me $400 and let's do business."

Just my two cents. ;)

Yes nice idea, if a little old now.

I was doing this a year ago and targeted florists, garages, solicitors and a few more niches.

Thing is there are simply too many other people doing this now. I get calls to my web design studio in Manchester all the time. As if i needs ome scroat to build me a website.

A better twist on this would be to concentrate on a local 'target' business, ie. one that is struggling or having problems. You can usually spot them by the '25% off now' signs in the window and 'sale must end tuesday' but they never actually say which tuesday, you get the idea.

Anyway calling them is a waste of time. I visited them and had some nice brochures printed up showing case studies etc. Businesses love the personal touch. I used to leave them a card with the brochure and (on average) 60% would call me back for more info. I was never pushy, i just explained to them how they could have a website built and how simple it was for them to increase their income.

Buying the domains before hand seems a little presumptious.

Anyways just my 2 cents.

It is hard to find niche, which you can get rank #1 on google easily. That is the most important thing.

I had already implemented such a kind of trick for a very different niche,
It was plastic surgery.
made enough money out of it to buy a good BMW.
but i was unable to keep the site in the serps for enough time and eventually our deal broke off.
But i can vouvh for this method
it really works

Billrolls,

What do you think were the factors that caused you to fall in the serps? Did you use .com or >info domains? Was it your linking techniques?

really good idea! i might try this out me self and hoops i just guess the competition got more competative and wasnt worth the time anymore.

I'm already working on it. Thanks a lot Dark One..

Great point. Enough said !

For those of you thinking of doing this, you do not need to stop at just dentists. I own a brink and mortar advertising firm and the kinds of companies you can attract are easily found.

Just open up your yellow pages/look at billboards/check out your local paper/etc and see what kinds of companies have lots of advertising... my motto in attracting new business is that "the companies that advertise, advertise."

If they are currently advertising, they will spend money with you to advertise if you can show value. So, the 5% of you that read this thread that actually act on it, diversify and find the other types of businesses that this will work with.

I've been combining my offline and online marketing skills for quite sometime now. Im going to show you a method that can make a you limitless money if you rinse and repeat it.

It involves local search. The best way of describing this method is by showing you a real life example. This example uses local dentists but you can do it for literally any type of business. The reason I used denists is because here in London they make an absolute fortune which means they have the funds available to invest in advertising their services.

What I did was buy up a load of domains. I bought about 50 of them but im just going to show you 2

http://dentistinleyton.com
http://dentistinleytonstone.com

So what I did for the first one was chucked up a wordpress blog on the domain, upload a nice theme and write a quick 200 word article with the domain keyword which is "Dentist in Leyton" In leyton there are about 20 dentists but ill go more into that in a minute. I then stick a few "Advertise Here Banners" in the right side of the margin.

What I then did was buy one of these 200 blog comment packages and get the provider to get me 200 links to my TLD with the anchor "Dentist in Leyton"

Now the thing you need to remeber is you Obviously want to go for a term that you will rank for and appear on the first page immediately so dont go for anything crazy like "Dentist London" go for something with a bit less competition, like I've done above.

Once the site is ranking. I then went to yell.com and made a list of all the dentists in leyton and rang them one by one. I told them I had a site that was ont he first page of google for the keyword "Dentist in Leyton" and was currently getting around 10-15 visitors a day. We're talking ultra targetted traffic.

Now 10-15 vistors a day could quite easily be an extra $1000 a day of income for a dentist depending on the work that needs to be done to the persons teeth. So I explain this to the dentist and they like the idea and ask me how much. I tell them it will cost $400 a month but potentially that could bring them in about 20K worth of business in that time. They love the idea and sign up. I get my partner to set up an invoice and get them on a monthly billing plan. I then put their contact details on my site and move onto the next dentist.

When I have 3 dentists signed up I close off the signups to that particular site and move onto another location. I don't want to sarurate the site with too many ads because otherwise the dentists start complaining that they are not recieving enough calls so the optimum number i have found to work is about 3 dentists max per location, which is about $1200 per site per month! This whole process takes about a week to set up and doesnt reall require you to be that persuasive. Once the dentists see the potential in what you are providing they are eager to get signed up. Once I saw the protential for this I then set up another 20 sites in another niche.

As you can see with about 10 sites you should be able to turn this into a $10k a month business and the money is RECURRING every month. All you need to do is make sure the sites are ranking for the keyword every month and bringing in enough traffic to warrant the dentist to stay hooked. What you might also want to do is get people to mention your site when they speak to the dentist to show the dentist you are actually bringing them in decent leads.

Anyway just giving you guys an insight into the power of local search and how you can make money from it.

Great method.

Don't know if you could get $400 without a long face to face meeting, but you could drop to $150 a month and close over the phone...maybe a go2meeting demo would help.

So...buying 200 blog comments w/ anchor text from blogs around the world was enough to get the site ranked on the first page?

I've been getting my feet with offline marketing for the last few months. I know there is plenty of money that can be made in this field.

One issue I'm trying to figure out is how, for example, is the search volume for "Dentist in Leyton" providing good leads for your clients? I did a Google keyword tool search, and that term came up with 73 search volume. e.g. 2 or 3 leads a day? I searched again for dentist terms in my local area, and most of them were 20-30 searches a month.

a city fairly close to here gets 2300 searches/mo for "dentist in city_name"

Love the method, I done some reaserch and for the keywords I would be targeting there is 29k AND 17K competing pages for phrase match would this be easy to rank for?
