Hey guys,
New member from the US here, but thought I would reach out to this community in hopes of having a few questions answered.
Currently, I am renting long term numbers from textverified, where these numbers renew every month, and allow me to receive sms from specific sites. This is quite costly, and I am trying to find an alternative of receiving sms from bulk numbers so I no longer have to pay expensive monthly fees.
I did some research, but I am still a little bit lost. From what I understand, in order to accomplish what I want, it seems like I'm going to have to buy a GSM modem as well as sim cards and basically set it up so I can receive sms. I just have a few questions and any help would be very greatly appreciated:
1. My goal is to have 100 phone lines for personal use, that means I need 100 sim cards right? Are there cheap sim card providers for US numbers only?
2. For the GSM modem, I was planning on buying an 8 port version, but I cannot find any site that has solid reviews for one. Where do you guys recommend purchasing one?
3. Once I hook up the GSM modem to my computer, do I need some sort of software so that my sim cards can start receiving sms? I'm not sure if the modem comes with software or if there is software already available online.
