Hi, I had asked multiple times why my posts are not getting indexed whereas Pages were indexed in the first week and everybody said it's because of google it will take time but today I was taking a look at GSC and found this information can somebody help me in understanding what did I do wrong so my posts and pages are getting Discovered - currently not indexed and are my sitemap setting correct because I believe they are not getting indexed because of my mistake in setting up sitemaps my website.

Please somebody let me know how to fix this issue

hey u have the same issue as me i think.

i submitted my sitemap to GSC. GSC can see it well. but on individual links, it's not indexed. site:website.com doesn't show any of the post unless i manually index.

really frustrated. hope i have not been penalized! :(

add on : i also made sure sitemap is submitted, page/post is doindex, added sitemaps to robots (today)

If you've submitted a URL to Google Search Console and got the message Crawled - Currently Not Indexed, it means Google has crawled the page but chose to not index it. As a result, the URL won't appear in search results for the time being. ... It's not necessary to resubmit the URL to be crawled and indexed.

It shows you more about above .

The Discovered - currently not indexed status means that Google knows about these URLs, but they haven't crawled (and therefore indexed) them yet. If you're running a small website (below 10.000 pages) with good quality content, this URL state is will automatically resolve after Google's crawled the URLs.

Thanks for the help but suddenly today a few hours back the post that I submitted got indexed but there is one problem it doesn't show the URL permalink at top of search result rather than it shows a category can you help in that matter please

indexing has been a real mess for google for a year already,
sending a sitemap or requesting URLs indexing do help to get the website's pages indexed, but not quite effective tho,
that's especially for new websites and the ones with low authority, getting some good links/traffic would help generally in getting a better indexing percentage/rate & budget,

for your case, the URLs hasn't been crawled yet,
you should give it at least a week before rechecking their status
