Hi, does anyone know why I would get 'google has detected unusual activity' and have to enter a recaptcha before continuing searching with google? I'm using private proxies for GSA SER. I've been using Ultimate Demon with no problems but when I fired up GSA for the first time, it's happened twice now in 2 days. Should I be concerned? I don't see how they can tag my IP if I'm using good private proxies, do you? Thanks.

you need more proxies and or reduce the number of threads. I use 40 proxies and only 2 threads, any more than that my proxies will be blocked.

It may be that something is wrong with your settings and it doesn't use proxies, or the proxies are bad. I have 10 private proxies and running 20 threads 247 without any problems.

What Ben said. You are using proxies very fast, give them a little more time between Google queries. Ben is really cautious with his setttings, you can try to relax them a bit. I don't have GSA, but I have Google scraper and NHSEO. I have 10 proxies and I experienced good results with 1 search thread on NHSEO. I can run Google scraper day and night with 2 search threads without problems (scraper makes in every thread random pauses that average 5 seconds between searches).

@Charles27, You need to make sure that you have your proxies set to private (x) on your proxies screen. Then on your GSA SER settings, make sure that you have the Private option ticked and use proxies every where. That will solve your problem.

Thanks for your help. i'm going to check out all these settings on every tool, now that I've gotten all this advice here. I have 50 semi's from buyproxies in the GSA tool. I also have 10 priv from buyproxies but am just using those for ultimate demon. As far as treads, i was running 40+ for UD, 10 for GSA. I haven't scraped in a little while so it wouldn't be scrape box. thanks.

I'm at 10 and i guess I'll have to push it down a bit. I just didn't see how google could see my ip no matter what i'm doing if I was using proxies. google gives money and google can take it away. drives me crazy always watching me

I think I found out what the problem was. Maybe this will help someone else new to GSA-SER. So in the [Options > Submissions] section, you'll see the "use proxies" tick box. I had the box ticked indicating yes I wanted to use proxies. I added my private proxies and that was it I thought. I ran 17K submissions over the last day and half. The older GSA version shown on video tutorials had you tick the proxies box then there was some drop down menu to select "everywhere" or a certain task to use your proxies with. Well on the new version 6.27, it has you select the proxies box but then you need to manually tick other sections like "search engines pub or priv", "submission pub or priv" and/or "PR checking pub or priv" etc. I only selected yes to proxies and figured it was g2g so I never even ticked any other boxes. lol, but not so lol now that google is sniffing me out. Weird I prob ran 17,000 submission for tier 2 & 3 with no proxies I'm guessing. I'm not really sure. I ticked all the boxes private now and I'll see. Does this sound right to anyone? Man, one slip and google comes out of the woodwork. I can see them tagging my suspicious IP now and when I go to my youtube account with adsense they're watching that. Good way to get and stay paranoid I guess.
