GSA Search Engine Ranker worth it?

I posted last week that it stopped producing links for me. My private proxies were testing ok but were not functioning. I removed them and went with the built in proxy scraper and i am fine now. So my proxies went bad but were showing green in the proxy section.

GSA has lot of products! I discovered them some weeks ago! Im using GSA Email Spider and it works great. Hope all products work great as it.

Any tips for scraping with scrapebox? I have been trying to get a good big list from scrapebox, but I get way to many "no engine matches". I used s4nt0s's tool to get the footprints out of the files. I didnt get any of the blog entries, I was just trying to get all the others. I then merged it with a keyword list of about 1400 keywords, computer and social related keywords. I took that list and ran it through the malware check, and alive check to get a clean working list. I then imported the list as targets. Its 104,253 entries, and so far a day into it running its gotten 308 successful/verified links and many thousands of "no engine matches" or other reasons for failure. But most are "no engine matches".

Is there a step I missed in my scraping that might have helped me get a more targeted list?

I haven't managed to take a proper look at this yet, maybe now i've finshed moving to my new server i might get the chance?
from what i remember using tons of keywords was the key (no pun intenned!) but scritty or s4nt0s would be able to answer your question with more authority.

3.14 - new: forum engine MyBB added
- new: window and column positions get restored on a program restart

Finally got the dreaded number 13 out of the release version.
Not being superstitious or having daft beliefs about the number 13

Is there any chance for adding:

- VB (forum engine)
- EE (forum engine)
- tumblr

?

Like bouquet said, submit a support request to Sven. If you do some of the work up front to help him out he will get to it faster. Getting the name, some footprints, some of the text matches, and some example sites that would work with GSA, all of that helps him do it a lot faster.

This is exactly what I have been doing and he is allways added them very quickly.

Except for a few that he said gsa wouldent be able to create many links to

Just something to bear in mind.....I have received a number of spam complaint emails one of which went to my proxy provider (got a warning...). This is a consequence of the good quality blogs which GSA posts on. Many of them are moderated and therefore on occasions will winge and moan. The proxy one was from a media wiki. I haven't tried using the inbuilt scraper but will give this a try to alleviate the problem!

Let me know if you figure it out. I'm still testing as well.

Some of the sites I am building links to are a friends lead generation sites, they have gotten some good complaints in the lead gen form :)

interesting software, I wonder how this compares with scrapebox?

anyone has feedback on this?

lol. They are two completely different tools. If you go to GSA's website you can get the free trial and give it a test.

Scrapebox is really powerful, and anyone doing what we all do NEEDS Scrapebox. Thats just the way it is. This tool is not a replacement for scrapebox. But it is an automated solution that is seriously amazing. Using it in conjunction with Scrapebox is the way people seem to recommend it.

In the end, this tool is automated link building, its more like No Hands SEO, and ScrapeJet than Scrapebox. But its better than both of them.

I am recently started using this tool but always getting 'download failed" after sites has been found! may be I am doing something wrong...kindly give some explanation. I use it with captcha sniper.

Hi Keizer,
The "download failed" message appears only if the program doesn't get any data back from the server. Best to check your proxy and "html timeout" settings under options.
hope that helps.

vb allows you to permission access for bots and some sites might have bots allowed to view profile pages
