GSA Search Engine Ranker worth it?

I had Asked Sven if they had ever though about creating a stand alone OCR program to solve captcha's etc. etc. and he actually said that is one of the things on their list to do. Just thought i'd share that. I was pretty excited when I read that.

I asked him the same thing and he replyed

in fact we have done a captcha solving system in the past but only for our internal use. We could probably make a product out of it with some more user-friendly GUI but thats not going to happen any time soon due to a lack of time. But it is on our list.

So its on the list but not near the top im guessing. I guess if enough people want it than it might be moved higher on the list.
But you and me are probably the only ones who have asked about it

Dang, well that sucks. Was really hoping for a alternative. CS is great and all but I do miss out on tons of sites cause it's limited with the captchas it can solve. :/

Hey guys,

I noticed a lot of people are interested in scraping their own lists. I bet in the future we will see people selling GSA Auto Approve Lists. Can you imagine the power of a list that diverse? Anyways, grabbing the footprints out of the .ini files can be a royal pain in the butt so I hired a programmer to make a simple bot that handles this for us.

All you do is click the search button > choose the directory where the GSA .ini files are stored, select which engines/ini's file you want to parse for footprints, click extract, then save. You will then have all your footprints sorted for you with one footprint per line and the "|" automatically removed and ready to load into SB. Also there's a checkbox that you can click and it will automatically add the "%KW%" to the end of each footprint. (scrapebox merge token)

It requires no install, its just a simple .exe (.net 4.0 required)

Here's a SS:

If anyone wants it, I shared it here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...use-gsa-search-engine-ranker.html#post4230665

Happy Scraping.

I bought this from GSA but would love to see a guide on how to set it up properly for the best results.

Right now this thread is the only guide other then the .pdf file. I'm planning on making a video when I get enough time.

Hello All,
Thank you for your posts, they have been informative.
Nearly all the backlinks that SER has generated for me are Pr 1 or more, but most of them are not related to my subject matter at all. Is this still okay as long as PR is high? Are you guys getting backlinks that are related to your subject matter?

I also want to know. Seems like GSA Look for Web page Ranker has much more features than either Scrapejet or nohandsseo. They (GSA) just don't enhance it enough, and their income web page is not the best.

Never tried this one before. Even heard it a little while ago. But looking interesting and useful. I might buy one too.

When SER tries to verify backlinks in the log, it fails to verify them 90% of the time. Anyone else getting this? BTW I love the program and have full confidence in GSA, just trying to get the thing working properly.

What is best practice for search engines selection in GSA?:)

3.10 - new: improved MediaWiki engine a lot
- new: improved automatic math-question filling
- new: lower memory usage

Ah damn, my bad. It's an awesome feature. I'll contact Sven for some more platforms that I know :P

I personally right click on the engines and select by country. I then choose United States. I do it again and choose United Kingdom. Thats all I use, it gives me enough engines, and mostly english.

You have a fiew options.
1. only select the international google yahoo bing and aol. (will give you the most links per hour)
2. Select all international, U.S, and UK search engins. (Give you almost the as many links per hour bet more iP diversity)
3. Select all search engins from the following countries.
U.S,
U.K, AustraliaBelgium,, Canada,
Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Korea Republic Of ,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates (Thease countries are often concidered the highest converting countriy traffic)
4. Select all search engins (will have slowest links per hour but you will get massive IP diversity)

I use option #4 on my super fast vps and option #2 on my desktop

Guys have you noticed.. when you are running it for a long time it gets slower ? I usually enter like 5000 niche keywords.. and I check that I want to find more relevant keywords.. and I have 4 campaigns right now.. 50 threads running at a time. I use private proxies, but it still slows down a lot..

Ya originally I thought adding a ton of keywords might help with getting more target sites but if you look at the platforms that actually use the keywords its only trackbacks, blogs, pingbacks and e107 forums.

It would be cool if after the platforms start to slow down it would automatically start using keywords to find new targets by adding "keywords" to the end of each footprint searched.

I think it will only get better and better in time after everything is tweaked and optimized .. the tool is still pretty new. It'll get there ;)
