GSA Search Engine Ranker worth it?

I keep watching some captcha solving software to see if its worth buying, but the releases seem a bit few and far apart.
Its been on a beta release for a long time. An alternative option gets released in the coming weeks
There aint many companies put out updates at this speed

Could someone post a list of all of the supported platforms?
Thanks in advance.

Go to your Project edit and where you entered your Main Url There should be a little drop down box on the right of that. Click on that and it'll give you option to import from a file etc. etc. I just save my URLS that I want it to work on in a txt file than import that.

oh ffs how could I have missed that? I had 8 projects running with 8 urls in each..... hahahahaha
cheers

Great post - so even without guestbooks (which many people don't seem to want to post to) you still have dozens of viable platforms.

For some reason if I import a list of url (my tier 1 links) it seems to also create links to the root domain. I have a few articles and so forth and some of the backlinks are created for root domain of article site instead the url to my article. Is anybody else having this problem?

An email account creator would be a nice addition as well
Can we spin the email accounts? So if you have twenty or so hotmail accounts it rotates which ones it uses

Why would you want it to spin email accounts? It would have to login to different email accounts and verify links in each account? I'm confused lol seems like it would be a big hassle for nothing and would slow things downs. You only need 1 email account per project.

I agree that an account creator would be awesome ... like a built in hotmail account creator. Hotmail's are super easy to make and you can use BS information so that would be the easiest for sure.

Nice one man, here's what I think I'll be using as my personal list. GSA already seems to get enough guestbooks for so I decided not to include those.

What are you guys mostly submitting to? Do you check everything in the list from Social Network all the way down to Video, or only have a select few?

I CAME Up with this today.. just a /rant of my thoughts and debating if i should buy GSA since i already paid for no hands seo.. please take a moment to read my post and post your reply.. no hijack the thread just asking for more input on the worth of GSA.. 100$ is alot of $ for me right now having a newborn son..

No Hands SEO vs. GSA Search Engine Ranker vs. ScrapeJet
This seems to be the topic of alot of discussion across various webmaster/seo/whitehat/blackhat forums all over the internet at which program has what advantages over the other.. out of the 3 i use nohandsseo on 2 dedicated VPS and it runs with proxy goblin 24/7 had this going for about 4-5 months straight now. just log in from time to time to clear out some stuff and run any updates for both programs.
ive only ran GSA for the trial period of 5 days or so and didnt get much time to really play around with it due to there being so many different platforms to setup etc.. DEF alot more setting up to do with GSA than I had to do with nohandsseo. Nohandsseo was setup like 10 different websites in under 20 minutes..
I notice they both have the option for captcha sniper which is Another $97.... not really sure if its worth it yet i tried it and i keep getting errors and issues that port 80 is already in use and i tried all the various ways to eliminate other processes using port 80 and it looks like proxy goblin is using port 80 also so until they fix the port issues with captcha sniper im not spending $97 for it.. and the latest release has been 1.5BETA
http://www.captchasniper.com/download-2/
I followed all the steps on that page for doing this:
When you start Captcha Sniper you might get a message saying that Port 80 is in use.
If this happens, this means you have something listening on Port 80. To properly emulate the decaptcha HTTP post, Captcha Sniper must be able to use Port 80. This could be anything such as an web server, skype, teamviewer or something else. On windows 7 (not sure about the others), to find out whats using port 80, you can run ?netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:80? from the command prompt. In the last column of the output, you should see a number which is the Process ID of the application using port 80. You can then start Task Manager (be sure to enable viewing the process id in Task Manager) to see which application is using port 80 and stop the process.

My MAIN Question is why cant the program just share port 80?? does it need Complete control over port 80 to properly run?!?!

The next thing i see is Nohandsseo and GSA both support Spinner Chief which is Another $197 !!!!!!! I have seen it on sale for $127 but still for most young people like me that is still alot of money for a program.. arnt there better cheaper alternatives like majicspinner or spinchimp which are quite a bit cheaper?? Why did GSA and Nohandsseo deceide spinnerchief was the one to add support for???

I really like nohandsseo so far it is my favorite but im really curious the benefits of GSA supporting like 20+ more platforms which means more back links.. ive read some posts that some guys spend 100-400$ a month on Deathbycaptcha and they are using Captchasniper on top of that.. seems insane to pay that much for captcha solving..

What are your thoughts about the things i posted. anyone feel free to chime in with your opinions thoughts or suggestions.. i am not rich by any means and spending 100$ and 200$ for all these extra programs to work with.

here is a screenshot of the port 80 error:
port80issue.jpg

What are you guys mostly submitting to? Do you check everything in the list from Social Network all the way down to Video, or only have a select few?

also curious about this because i ran the 5 day free trial of GSA and it seemed a little overwhelming with which platforms to use since there are so many.. Definately not as easy as nohandsseo to setup..

IF captcha sniper could figure out recaptcha and provide more updates more frequently other than once every 3-4 months or however long it's been it would totally steal the market for a captcha solving program. But that's not gonna happen. Even if they did Frequent updates with adding in more captcha's etc. they would still hold a very good place in the market but there's another captcha solving program that is about to come out called Captcha Infinity (Sorry Fredrick, Looks like it also uses port 80) Even if CI comes out with more frequent updates it will be better than CS. But again, I don't know what CS has planned for their next update.

I'm just doing the trial with GSA as well. I've tried my hands at nohandsseo Never bought scrapejet I gave up on other products being released by sweetfunny since I bought Scrapeboard and that POS. Just from me running GSA I can see 1 million things that are different.

Tons and Tons of Diff platforms, backlink variation, So much easier to get a lot of HIGH PR links. I think i've gotten quite a few of high PR .edu links just from it running for a day. Like today I got a PR 8 .edu verified link. Never once seen that happen with Nohandseo and I let that run for weeks. The frequent updates by sven? is almost daily, I know NHSEO is very active in updates but to add these many platforms and release almost daily updates is pretty crazy.

IMO, I think GSA is a 100x better than NHSEO and I deff plan on buying it.

As far as captcha costs for me. I don't use decaptcha with GSA I only use Captcha Sniper. The Captcha costs alone from BMD are already killing me. :/ Couldn't imagine would it be would be without CS.

I am kinda curious though since GSA allows Captcha to be solved 1st by 1 captcha solving and if it fails it would go to another and it allows the 2nd option to be CI. Would this work if CS couldn't solve the 1st captcha would it than pass it onto CI to be solved? I'm very curious if that would work or not.

i saw something about captchainfinity.. gsa and nohandsseo both support captcha sniper but i dont see anything for Captchaaffinity support in the programs

frederickpc:

GSA is a lot faster and less resource intensive. It supports more platforms and updates nearly every day. There is no question that it is better than NHSEO right now.

As for your question about port 80, it has to take full control. There is no sharing. You either take all the traffic coming in on a port or you dont.

You dont need SpinnerChief. I have multiple copies of GSA running, and I have Captcha Sniper running on all of them, but I dont have SpinnerChief at all. I do all my spinning by hand.

Would this work if CS couldn't solve the 1st captcha would it than pass it onto CI to be solved? I'm very curious if that would work or not.

That's what I have setup: Captcha sniper first and DeathbyCaptcha for any that it fails/can't handle. It seems to work pretty well, no doubt saving a ton of captcha credits.

also curious about this because i ran the 5 day free trial of GSA and it seemed a little overwhelming with which platforms to use since there are so many.. Definately not as easy as nohandsseo to setup..
I've been doing the platforms that I don't get many links from using other programs: PR0 and up: Social Bookmarks and ClipBucket (Video). PR1 and up, separate project: MediaWiki (I can already build wiki links easily but more never hurt), all blog comments, iDocScript, all guestbooks, all image comments, all social bookmarks, and trackbacks.

Something to consider is that if you aren't scraping a list of targets to import into GSA: all of your footprint searches for each platform type will take time, so it's best to figure out which links are the most valuable to you (up to a certain point).

I have seen a lot of slowdown already though since I started using GSA.. Going to try loading some targets tomorrow and see if that helps, otherwise I may have to try reinstalling.

You want easy? Open the program > click "new" > tick the blogs, trackbacks and image comments boxes > enter your url, keywords & anchor text and click start.

So 3 clicks to 3 check boxes and enter your information in 3 fields. It doesn't get much easier then that.

There you go .. you are now using NohandsSEO except you're getting many more platforms.

;)

If you want that functionality yes. As for Port 80. I used proxy multiply and had similar issues. I resolved it by not using proxies while captcha sniper (which is $77 with the link on BHW by the way) was running. I scraped my targets beforehand and posted without a proxy. I've not really seen the benefits of posting using proxies unless you are going to sites that use recaptcher which sends an application call to Googles recaptcha servers and your IP with it (and if you IP sends too many calls it gets banned) but as CS does not solve recapcha anyway - this is not really an issue.

If you were posting to Pligg sites I would use proxies and a captcha solving service as nearly all sites on this platform are recaptcha protected. Just turn Pligg off though and you're good to go.

The next thing i see is Nohandsseo and GSA both support Spinner Chief which is Another $197

No need to use this what-so-ever. Just spin a comment using a free web based spinner and input it. This is almost just a "tick box" feature and not something I would use at all.

They do - you don't have to. How many sites are you supporting? If it's 5 or less then you really don't need to do this. Also if you only want to try and post on sites with decent PR and low OBL (which I strongly suggest you do) then you'll likely barely get through $25 a month.
See my post on the last page for a better way of using these tools that just letting them post to gazzilions of crappy sites for little or no medium/long term benefit.

Using a scrape first method with sensible application settings to post to good sites only you probably don't need proxies at all...pligg or no pligg. Think 50-100 good links a day rather than 25,000 shit ones. Post penguin this is a much better way to progress.
Posting to open AA (auto approve) sites with low PR that are already full of spam offers little more than an aggressive indexing policy these days - and triggers the Google dance on newer sites (not a ban - but often a dance about)

Scritty
