I don't think GSA supports catch-all emails, but it has a built in email account creator. The usual way of setting up catch-alls and forwarding for CPanel email accounts is through your email host.

Better to have one email per project, than one email for all projects.

It has a built in account creator? How did I miss that? Sven even said he would never add one when I asked.

Also, I disagree. I can setup catchalls really easily and being able to sift through one email account by "to: myalias" field is a lot easier than creating a bazillion hotmail accounts.
 
Well I just started this yesterday - and am pretty underwhelmed by it to be honest.

The guy has coded up a great job with what he is working with - but I could image how much better it would be if he had a more advanced platform to work with.

The problem is the input stuff is pretty poor therefore the output will be pretty poor - I agree with Scritty you gotta keep this thing under control and target high PR stuff close to your site - and then let it run on the tier above that.

It's only mildly useful for me considering - you need alot of private proxies / vps and captcha sniper / dbc account.

The only platforms I activley avoid are guestbooks.
They are 100% link farms. They serve no other purpose.

Easy links but a waste of time really. Essp if you get too many.

Other than that, no such thing as a bad platform - just individual bad sites.
A link on a PR6 Wordpress blog is as good as a link of a private PR6 site

The only caveat is that content is getting more important. So content/texture links are the best here. (links in articles, WEB2,s etc) SO I would use Nuke or Demon to get those and GSA, Scrapejet or NHSEO to get the none content/context links.

One tool from each list, plus some captcha solving and a few proxies and you're good to go in just about any niche depending on how you use the tools.

Exception - Micro niche boys = essp in niches with a short shelf life of 9 months or less (fashion items, products that get regular upgrades, seasonals, etc)..might as well use Xrumer, by the time you get your site slapped..which normally happens sooner or later... you'll already have made your money and built 50 more sites anyway, just delete your site and build another. If you are in this group, then a good keyword finder is also essential.

For authority sites Nuke or Demon for content/context links
GSA,Scrapejet or NHSEO for diversity (GSA is the master of diversity here)

You can use a catchall, I do it all the time.

Lets say your url is www.mysite.com.

If you setup a catchall, its catchall+mysite.com as the username (cpanel) with whatever catchall password you set up.

Once this is done, you can use [email protected] as your email.

To get GSA to recognize it, do the following:

Under: Data --> Your Email, type in your random email address @ your site with the catchall setup.

Now go over to E-Mail verification tab.

Enter your pop3 server details for the domain you are using.

Under login, put in your catchall email address NOT the address you put in on the data tab. In this example it would be catchall+mysite.com
Enter your catchall password.
Check delete message when verification link was found

Click test - it will work.

Now you can use that catchall address for multiple projects without using the same exact email address.

Just to be sure I have this correct:

In data tab I enter "myalias at mydomain" (this forwards to my hotmail account)
In the email tab I enter "myaccount at hotmail" and it will work??
 
Keep in mind that the email field in profile screen is different than the email verification setup! You can enter whatever email in the profile screen but you have to make sure that the verification settings allow you to fetch emails from this adress! so forwarding you catchall to an hotmail account means entering random catchall in profile and pop3 settings for your hotmail account in verification!
or you just go to fiverr and buy a few hundred hotmail accounts for 5bucks! seems easier and is faster because the software does not have to get all projects emails (catchall)
 
keep in mind if you forward all emails to a main address for multiple projects, it is possible the software will get confused. If you have 10 projects running and 6 of the 10 create accounts at the same website at or near the same time, there will be many emails waiting for verification for the same site.

I have no idea how GSA is coded, but from other software I have used this can cause some issues as both may get grabbed by 1 project instead of each project "knowing" which one is theirs, or each grabs the wrong one which can cause an issue if the site creates the password. In the first case, some projects never grab an email verification, in the other the accounts are verified but using the wrong passwords.

With 500 threads and using proxies for scraping not posting but is a good html timeout? I have it at 60 but should I lower it?
 
I'm curious, how significant are the SERP increases you guys have seen by scoring links this way?

500 threads?? That's insane. I run 5 across all projects. Why would you want to spam that heavily? It'll just get you de-indexed.
 
I am running 200 threads on multiple projects (~10) and its working nicely. Keep in mind that you have to higher your timeout range if you are using more threads! for me it is at 120 now !

Edit:
You should think about not automatically sending your tier 1 links to the indexer services if you are afraid about getting deindexed! Just ping tier 2/3/? and you will be fine! You can also ping them on a sheduled basis with some other tools or services!

I'm starting to use aliases for this reason: tier1 at site, tier2 at site, etc. All just forward to my hotmail.
 
Great Tool. Takes a lot of time to learn to do correctly. Been reading and reading and reading...
