Hi all, I started a niche account with original HQ photos five days ago, and have been posting 4 days ago. I have about only ~60 followers, but max 400 likes in one of my photos. I have a friend in the same niche with original photos who's at >50k followers, but makes ~$1000 a month. He's shared his tags with me and stuff, but how can I build a following? I currently have no software; I don't want to mass follow accounts either. Thanks!

The best way is following accounts related to your niche, also liking the photos from other users in your niche, once they notice your account they will likely like back and hopefully follow you.

Instagram can be weird, theirs a few different methods of getting followers. I personally follow relevant pages and promote my crap in the comments sections until things pick up than start mass following etc.. browse the forums (hint* use the search bar) there should be tons of threads and resources to help you out on this!

i wouldn't advice using comments in the first place. focus first on follow/unfollow and then like.
