Groupong recently launched Groupong Pages allowing businesses to claim their listings. I heard it is free and you don't need to actually make any deals. Can someone confirm that? Also if someone have gone through the process of claiming a Groupon page, can you describe it step by step? Thanks. Also what is the minimal discount you can make on a product or a service? How much of the profit goes to Groupon?

Groupon deals are typically only great for those selling a product that has virtually zero cost to the seller to sell. Things like consolations, or services allegedly do pretty good.

Yes Groupon is great if you are a local service provider. It gets your foot in the door and provides return business and referrals. Finding a motivated sales manager on Groupon LS or Amazon local is pretty hard! I am in a service industry, and ive been looking for a person to promote our deals on amazon local, and we are even willing to pay commission on deals sold to whoever sets it up and will manage. But nothing! Ive been turning over every rock trying to find someone but i guess thers just no one doing this. A really big market though. Just our company in last year sold over 20,000 deals in our 9 markets. so whoever would pick up this task and really push a company thru could potentially be making really good money. Almost feel like going to Chicago and waiting under of groupon building and directly finding a person like that lol
