20, M. Really motivated to learn web marketing. I got a few questions if it's ok. I'm a complete newb so please be gentle :D
There's many forms of internet marketing and I'm kinda lost because there's so much information and I couldn't really find a place which gives a good thorough explanation for noobs like myself on subjects such as : which internet marketing type suits you best? which one should you learn first? which ones should you combine? etc.
So could you guys give me some kind of direction as to where to start if I have little to no knowledge about the subject? Should I start with SEO? Web Design? Branding? Are there any books/articles/any material really that will give me a decent understanding/direction on the subject?

Start reading the journeys section. Then participate in the community and naturally you'll start to grasp what's real and what's not. Other than that, there's plenty of stuff you can read all over the web, but be careful, most "white hat" blogs and forums are just snake oil salesmen.

Your success depends 99% on your discipline and will. The knowledge comes naturally as you try and experiment and fix your mistakes.

Welcome to BHW

There are tons of info about online marketing and the different business types.
You should be mature enough to choose your way.
What do you want to do? Do you 'like' something or you dream about becoming ... what? Why? How?

I was in your place just a few months ago. Just keep looking and digging.

You won't learn overnight. Like everything, it takes a bit of time.

That being said, in a short time I have learned a lot.

My favorite sections are making money and journeys.

Welcome.

Welcome to Black Hat World!

I know the choices might seem inundating, but read a little bit of everything (white hat SEO, blogging, PPC, etcetera). Once you know a bit about each topic, start reading more about the topic that interests you the most and begin engaging in threads on this forum. From there, practice what you've learnt about, refine your techniques, and build a successful career in Internet marketing.

Good luck! :D
