Got traffic, but no revenue

How long people are staying on your website?
Have you tried split testing the placement of your ads?
Try to setup a heatmap to know more about your visitors actions on your website, like crazyegg.com (most of them have free 30days trial that should be enough for you to know where is the problem)

They stay on my website for an average of 1 minute. A Heatmap would probably be really nice, but crazyegg requires CC for free signup. Are there other good alternatives that do not require it?

hotjar.com & heatmap.me, both have free plans, you can also probably find some open source you can install on your server.

As others were suggesting here in the thread, with AdSense it's all about volume. So getting those page views and unique visitors up well past the 1000+ a day should be your target if you want to earn a decent amount.

The niche you chose just might not be up for the task though. The CPC might only earn you paltry amounts with not much that you can do about it.

I recall a site I worked on that was receiving a consistent 1000 visitors a day but it was only pulling about $2-$5 CPM.

Another thing to look into is content ad networks but usually they are looking for websites with a high amount of website traffic. Content.ad, Outbrain and a few others. A quick Google search will help you find few good content ad network recommendations.

Installed heatmap.me and let it run for a few hours. While it's not enough information to make statistics about, I find it very useful. Been able to edit some things on my website because of it that I otherwise wouldn't have noticed.

Trying amazon now, maybe Content ad networks would be better but I'm not sure if my site would be eligible for it. Also, my ublock origin seems to block some of those content ad sites. So not sure if it would convert adblock users very well.

I did see a lot of clicks with heatmap on my amazon links, so hopefully that converted well.
