So my website in a microniche of health is getting a good amount of traffic, but even with 200-400 visitors a day noone is clicking on my adsense ads. I feel like they are placed well within the content and they show up properly on pc and mobile.

Is the health niche a bad niche for adsense and should I go to something like amazon? Or are there better alternatives or should I just try changing my adsense ads for better CTR.

What is your bounce rate? The health niche is "fine" for adsense, but you need 1000's of visitors and page views to make any good money with it. You should try offering a product.

My bounce rate is quite high, but that's because my frontpage is kind of the main page with all info on it for their search queries.

I agree, and i keep on working on getting more traffic. But even if I triple my traffic to 1000. 3x0.10$ isn't gonna help me much. That's why I wanna focus now on monetizing my website while still generating traffic.

Depends also on the traffic source. If US, UK, AU you'll higher income. Otherwise the earnings per click are lower. What's the click rate ?

you need to check the traffic source and see where they come from. 200-400 visitors from highly targeted keywords in Google and 200-400 visitors from random fanpage in FB are not the same, if you know what i mean.

It's all highly targetted from google search. Had 5k+ visitors sometimes before from reddit but noticed they didn't convert at all so just went back to plain old google. They arn't converting either tho.

I tried adding some amazon affiliate on my site now. I use pretty link to send them to another page on my site and not straight to amazon. Is this good enough or will i lose ranking with it? And do pictures or just plain text help best with Amazon CTR?

mine started at 600+ per day and only when i added another block of ad right in front of their faces (the sidebar ad didn't work quite well). also noticed that mobile users tend to click the ad than their desktop counterparts. you need to understand where they are looking and then put the ad there. you can't just put it anywhere.

i'm happy with $1 a day but yesterday i got $8 from adsense LOL

Have you tried integrating link units? Depending on the layout of your site those can often integrate quite well

I've hardly ever gotten the $ amount Google states a click is worth. I think they do everything they can to devalue click payments while upping the cost of clicks. It makes sense from a business point of view but it's hell on those using adsense for monetization.

Adsense has become a poor source of monetization since the past few years. A dental website I had in 2008 was earning $300 to 400 per month from around 200 to 300 hits per day. I was in for a rude shock when a similar site I had last year was earning $10 to 20 from adsense from a similar amount of traffic.Adsense is great when you have a large amount of traffic.

I would rather suggest CPA or Amazon these days for monetization. For that you would need to modify your content a little bit. It is simple, give the people what they are searching for. If you want some specific suggestions, feel free to PM me. Not that I am a pro but I have learnt the ropes around Amazon for the past few months. All the best.

To add to all of the above. What is the source of your traffic? It could well be that you're getting your traffic as a result of non buying keywords, and so encountering low conversions as the visitors have no intention of purchasing a product

I think you dont have US, UK traffic because health niche is one of the best for adsense with high CPC... Obviously your traffic comes from countries where is 0.10 CPC

PM me your site, I am a trusted member here and will tell you exactly what to place where if you are getting 200 a day and they are organic real visitors I can show you how to convert them easy and turn that into clicked conversion I started out with a nice health niche and sold it when I was doing more fun projects...it got boring but I got paid 5 times its earnings used the money to buy into another project.
