Got this in a PM, how legit is it?

About as far from legit as possible.
It is unfortunately a sign of our times we suspect every cry for help. I often see or hear about people I would like to help but the scammers have f^&ked for everyone.
I stick by the philosophy you need to treat everything as though it's false until it's proved. Sad really.
If you are thinking of helping offer something rather than money maybe snd ask for more details.
It shows you care as it has put you in a dilemma.

So if you'd be really poor, and you would send a letter to someone saying you need some money for your baby, would you put in your bankaccount and stuff in it right away? I know I wouldn't. You want people to trust you first, you don't just overhaste it and put in your bankinfo. 100% sure it's a scam

So who is the carebear who neg repped me because of this? Call me harsh, but people begging on the internet for money because their child is sick is 99.999% sure to be a scam. Why? Because even a third world countries you don't have to pay upfront for healthcare, this is goddamn bullshit.

Just facebooked his name...and it does seem like it's legit.
His wife's profile has "soon to be mother" on it, also that they've been together for almost 1 year and 6 months. Their anniversary is listed as 27th july 2008.
If she wrote her profile when it was almost 1 year and 6 months this means her profile was likely made in early january or december. (Wouldn't be totally exact i'd hazard a guess) Meaning the 6 months figure given for his baby's age would be pretty spot on.
Just seems like it's legit and all..story does match up with his details. From my investiagtions.

Just because they have a facebook profile doesn't mean it is legit. He/She could have set that up. There were a lot of scams sounding just like this one about someone being in "need" here in bhw in the past. Every one was a scam
This have scam written all over it.

Haven't been scammed this way and never will hopefully, why? because every time u feel ur in the generous mood to contributing some good into this world go to nearest charity program or a cancer healing foundation or whatever you name it period.

I agree, this is the ONLY way to respond (and a swift ban). Anything else will only encourage them.

i also got this pm and i didn't reply till now, but i didn't report it either because i wasn't 100% sure it's a fake or not, that guy who sent it isn't new here, he has +4 itraders, i know it means nothing and we get the answer automatically from somebody that even exec vips scammed people here before

People like you get scammed in life, how on earth can you be so naive? Ofcourse his facebook checks out, otherwise he wouldn't have said so in his PM! I mean come on, how hard is it to make a facebook account?

A few things raise an alarm for me regarding this PM that you got.
1)The guy's name is Jesus (I think he might be lying to try and reach the religious people, breaking the ice)
2)Why is he sending PM's to get $50,000? He can do a LOT of other things for that like go to charities, and OFFLINE places instead of sending PM's to people on BHW of all places
3)Bank of The Philippine Island makes me question how "real" this is
I'm not saying this is definitely fake, but it has "FAKE" written ALL over it.
