Got Clients?

I'll give you a real live instance.

Back in 2009/2010 or so @nahid133 worked for us providing a service.

He was a bit of a pain in some aspects (my bad not his) where I would chat with him on Skype as he was traveling and he asked I post the same on Skype after he was done traveling. I do not remember the details but I do remember he was super certain to make sure we got what we paid for + a bunch more and did it with a smile.

I'm pretty sure I was not even a member on this forum when we started out business with him but I learned a ton from him serving us.

Over delivered, over-communicated, over-cared about our success.

One day I hope to be like him.
You honored me thousands time.
Me & my wife are both grateful to you that you liked our service & still remember us.
I even told her that you invite us in your house.

Most of the credit goes to my wife.
She did most of the hard work.
She works like BOT, my highest near 300 posts & her was almost 1200. :D

There are a lot of crappy threads on the forum, and I try to make sure people are not being misled and that they consider alternative opinions and points of view rather than just accepting the word of people as gospel. I try to search for objective facts and encourage researching topics rather than acting based on emotion. I understand the benefits of positivity, but I also recognize the downsides of being positive about things that can unnecessarily cost people money.

If you knew that your clients would be just as satisfied if you did not over deliver, would you still think over delivering is mandatory?

If you knew that your clients would be even happier if you just told them the maximum you can deliver up front, would you still think over delivering is mandatory?

What do we base over delivering on? Client expectations or the black and white contract? Because surely client expectations will change if you constantly over deliver.
Sorry to point my opinion here.

I think it will all depend on the context and chemistry/ relationship with the customer. It's not black and white but rather the statement needs with be taken with a pinch of salt. The clients that appreciate the real value are mostly the successful winners who can also spend and refer. This is from my personal experience.

As expected.

Clients need to make more money because of you, a lot of people seem to forget that.

In SEO over delivering can certainly hurt a site, especially if it's newer.

You know when to not over deliver as to SEO and know when to over deliver as to SEO.

Anyone that knows you understands your mindset.

Heck, if I wanted to learn SEO I'd move to your area and pay you to teach me.

Not necessary to apologize for posting your opinion, we should encourage it from everyone. That's how the best information and advice is found.

I completely agree with you, and that's why I am making my posts here.

We have already been presented with an example of a client who had the supplier over deliver, and the client is clearly not happy.

BlackHatWorld is probably the premier Search Engine Optimization forum where people come to buy backlinks.

But what does over delivering look like when it comes to a backlink service? It looks like trouble to me. My guess, again, is that most people just want exactly what they paid for, on the timeline promised, and nothing more. Less is usually better (safer) when it comes to backlinks.

Super glad that I never did business with you.
