Got all the tools but not the talent...

Read the Fat Cat blueprint. Some of the info is outdated, but it is what got me started on my Adsense journey. Once you read his story (goes on forever), there are some true gems to be found. He does a good walk through with Market Samurai and Micro Niche Finder. He also tells you how to get great results using only Google (which is free). Fat Cat BluePrint is free somewhere on BHW. Let me know what you think, but I guarantee you will find some great info.

yes i agree i am half way through Fat Cat and its helped me so much its also helped me in avoiding putting basic newbie questions on this forum :-)

So does anyone have any feedback on the Web 2.0 landing pages?

You should look for a keyword from 2k EXACT to 10k exact searches per month with low competition. Don't pick the first one you find, search for a while and make a list with potentials...

After you have your list google all the potential keywords and see who is ranking.

Now. See if the domain is available in (.com,.net,.org), personally I don't like the others.

If it is not move to the next keyword or add something generic to the url so it is unique without compromising the keyword.

For example if LearnHebrew.com was taken try LearnHebrew101.com etc.

Good luck.

Oh and don't use these crap "niche finders" and whatnot. Go into google keyword tool and do some good manual scraping.

The problem I'm having is finding keywords like that in the first place. I can't do it with the tools, so how would I be able to do it without? And do you mean that I should give more importance to an EMD being free than the competition or such?

It's a delicate balance, I like exact match domain because you get fast results in ranking (from my experience). It's all niche dependent though. Consider the competition, but consider everything as a whole first and foremost

It seems like you are making a lot of excuses about
why you can't get started. You have everything you need
to reach your goal.

The best advice I can give you is to fail as fast as you
can so that you can figure out what works.

Good Luck

I've already bought the domain and setup the site for the keyword I bought. It's an EMD and before I posted an article yesterday I was ranked 90 for my main keyword. Google hasn't yet indexed my article, despite pinging it, so I'm wondering if I should start building manual backlinks to the main domain itself.

I've already begun putting to use some of the stuff, but I'm still looking for all the information I can get...

Aight, so I bought a keyword in the BHW BST and bought a .net EMD. I then posted a single article on the site and have started building manual paul, angela and paulies's backlinks (from the latest packet) to it, and a few social bookmarks, but am still at broad position 37 for it, despite this being a keyword that only gets 1600 searches/month. I've not put any revenue-generating links on the site.

I guess, I'm asking if I should keep building manual paul/angela/paulie's backlinks to it or if I should start doing something else as well to go up in rankings.

Oh, and I no longer have AMR.

You'll never really learn a damn thing unless you actually take action.

For the first few years I too was like you, contemplating, learning, not really being fully vested in the idea of IM. My fears were unfounded and honestly set me back a gigantic amount. You MUST take action in order to learn. You can read a ton of things but I guarantee that what you read won't cover everything. You'll run into things that none of the eBooks or courses taught you. That's where you truly grow and learn and begin making things happen that lead to your online success.

Bro, I said I've bought a keyword and EMD .net domain, and started building backlinks to it. What more action do you want me to take? I'm completely aware that it takes a lot to get anything started and I'm willing to put in the effort, but I'm definitely one of those people who believes in working smart and not hard, ie. I'm willing to outsource what I must, all I'm asking is for advice as to how to spend my money (if I must). I don't mean to sound aggressive, I truly mean 'what action should I take?'
Thanks for responding,
Femir

Hey all,
My site hit rank 9 like a day after I posted last, but then today fell to rank 10, and although that should mean a tiny increase in traffic, that's not good. I think it might have been cause I was building 20-30 Angela/Paul/Paulie's backlinks to it everyday up till then but then stopped for a day. I will get back to more regularly building links for it, although there are none indexed. I tried using the scrapebox tool to analyze what backlinks were actually still up and it said something like 18 which is worryingly low but I didn't manually check and I've been having trouble with the tool anyways. Also, my traffic numbers seem very low, at least those given by analytics. I haven't put up my affiliate link yet (as recommended by some others on here) so I can't talk about conversion, but even at rank 9 I was only getting like 3 visitors a day from Google.

Speaking of Scrapebox, I actually bought it, and have started messing around with it a little bit (nothing at ALL to do with the other page that I'm working on), as I hear it takes a lot of practice to understand how to not blow your sites off the serps. That said I've been having major issues with it, not only finding proxies but when I do manage to get a good batch, the amount of comments that get posted are pretty low and even though their supposed to be auto-approve (according to the add-on) very very very few seem to actually have been posted when I use the tool to check backlinks. I have managed to find some other keywords that I think I would be able to rank for with other pages in other niches, and I was hoping to make some cash with scrapebox to be able to buy domains for those.

Any and all advice would again be very much appreciated,
Femir

Hi femir, I believe we're on the same boat. I'm also a newbie on IM.

I already read many blueprints and courses and the only thing that still scares me is the keyword research. If you wish we could talk on msn and share some tips. Good luck!

femir I see your making progress. Keep up the good work. I hope other senior members actually comprehend and answer appropriately. ;)

IF possible, could you provide me the downloading link of the "Fat Cat Blueprint" ?
I just searched it but could not find it..thank you.

I Think the google keyword research tool is enough to finding any niche...don't rely on the tool too much...
