you guys must have some terrible spammy sites.
I'm not saying it's not valid. I am just saying that at any point, any site can become "collateral damage" to an algorithm designed to do the exact opposite. So in theory making shit / time efficient sites may be even more profitable if over time most "white hat" sites get hit eventually.
Ok so this last update really puzzled me. It was the EMD update and panda/penguin refresh. My niche results went from OK to terrible and still are terrible. Basically first page includes multiple MNS sites that are 1 page emds (for multiple keywords), a few sites with sub 5 backlinks, some sites with no anchor diversity just KEYWORD over and over. Aren't these the exact features google was "banishing"? My site did get slapped like 10 positions yet I had lots of quality back links, anchor diversity, PR 4, rich content 100+ pages, good on site seo. Now I see these 1 page EMD etc out ranking me, or sites with 0 seo and not updated in years. It makes me wonder why I put so much effort in my site getting it to #1 and making it an authority for most of my keywords to get slapped in a update and be out ranked by sites that took 30 mins max to create with virtually 0 SEO.
i had a top 1 "softcore movies" and "softcore" with a great info and review site with no spam links, everything was so clear and minimal with no ads => google decided to remove it and now i see some torrent tags and porn tubes are ranked at top for my keywords. Thanks Google
Just build quality sites, go whitehat and :banghead:
There is no such thing as white hat...but if you define what hat as no seo, then i will agree with you...
