Google updates in August or site penalised?

ohh.. it can be penguin coz my site has dropped too first week of August even if i am not spamming and my content is unique and fresh.

SEMrush SE traffic checker or Google adword planner is the best option for getting the accurate statics about your website which are very helpful to avoid your website from penalizing in the Google. By the way there is no any Google update has been seen because traffic on my website is same as before.

Guys remember its can be seasonal due to vacations that people have in August (All europe is frozen till september)

There has definitely been a google update. Nearly all of my websites have seen a huge decrease in traffic from Google, although Yahoo/Bing remains the same. All sites are compliant with Google Webmaster Tools. They all have adsense on them.

I have also seen my average CPC on my sites went from around $0.80 to less than $0.15. It appears there has been a change with some sites running adsense. I was ranking #1 for a lot of keywords on various sites, and nearly all of them have gone to obscurity.

Something is up... started on the 24th of August. There is a large thread on search engine land about people affected by the change. Google says, "no update"... I call B.S.

It is not just you. It has happened to a lot of people here including me. Traffic of one site just increased almost 300% + and 1 new site just got slapped. It was a new site with 10 + articles with no links. Looks like they are trying out something new.

My sites were hit too. Since August 1st the traffic dropped and my site ranks on the 4th page on goolge.
