Looks Google rolled out something yesterday. Check your WMT if you have it, or if you noticed a drop, most likely you got a manual penalty. Doesn't look like it was an algo update, just a lot of manual actions.

No movements also did not see any buzz on various seo blogs.

Across various niches. A lot of partial matches "effects links vs the whole site" penalties. The rankings dropped for sites that receive sitewide penalties, the ones with partial matches penalties are still the same / dropped 1-2 positions, so we'll see in the next few days if those will drop also.
I usually see this manual actions right before an algo update.

DON'T report anything please. Remember what happened last time there was an update and a bunch of people reported no changes? If your sites weren't hit, enjoy and keep banking. If they were hit, sorry.

It would honestly be a good idea for BHW to just not allow people to post if they were hit by an update or not. It just doesn't benefit the community at all. Who cares if your site was hit or not? Talk about the update itself and its characteristic, but don't go around mentioning that Googles update "wasn't good enough to hit your site".

Got hit on a grey hat site that I *thought* was fine - the black hat one didn't get hit *yet*. Trying to figure out which of the BHW services that I thought were OK was responsible...

Mainly don't look at your rankings, they might dance a lil, check WMT for partial penalties.

Don't use WMT so can't check, but multiple moneysites got hit yesterday. Today some previously penalized sites came back. Better to wait a while before making conclusions.

I was wondering why one of my sites was stuck on the 2nd page for ever, no matter what I would do. Added it today to the WMT, sure enough, partial penalty on it.
